Sean O’Loughlin
Sean O'Loughlin (born 24 November 1982) is an English rugby league coach and former professional rugby league rugby football, footballer. He is an assistant coach of Wigan Warriors where he spent his entire playing career, playing as a Loose forward (rugby league), loose forward for the Super League club, which he captained. Has also played for Great Britain national rugby league team, Great Britain and England national rugby league team, England at the international level, the latter of which he has also captained. O'Loughlin made his senior debut for Wigan in 2002 and has captained the side since 2006. He has played his entire club career with Wigan, making over 450 appearances, and winning four Super League Grand Final, Grand Finals, two Challenge Cups and one 2017 World Club Series, World Club Challenge with the club. Wigan
Wigan ( ) is a town in Greater Manchester, England. The town is midway between the two cities of Manchester, to the south-east, and Liverpool, to the south-west. 1983–84 Rugby Football League Season
The 1983–84 Rugby Football League season was the 89th ever season of professional rugby league football in Britain. Sixteen teams competed from August, 1983 until May, 1984 for the Rugby Football League Championship, Slalom Lager Championship. The Second Division was increased to 18 clubs with the introduction of Kent Invicta, who played their home fixtures at Maidstone, this season. Rule changes End of possession: * A "Playing rugby league#Handover, handover" was introduced after the sixth tackle, replacing the scrum that had previously been formed at that point. Middlesex Sevens
The Middlesex Sevens was a Rugby Sevens tournament held annually at Twickenham stadium in London, England until 2011. It was first held in 1926, and started by Dr J.A. Russell-Cargill, a London-based Scot.Bath, ''Scotland Rugby Miscellany'', p82 The event was held at the end of the rugby union season in May every year for 75 years, but moved to August in 2001 due to lack of available stadium dates and players in May. Super League VII (styled Tetley's Super League VII due to sponsorship from Tetley's Brewery) was the year 2002's Super League championship season, the 108th season of top-level professional rugby league in Britain, and the seventh run by the Super League. Stuart Raper
Stuart Raper (born 5 January 1965) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer and coach. He has since become a sideline commentator for the NRL with Foxsports. He is widely known for his father being Rugby League legend Johnny Raper and he also is the only Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks coach to win the President's Cup (under-21s) for the club in 1994. Playing career Raper originally signed on to play with the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the early 1980s, and made his first grade début at the age of 18 against the Illawarra Steelers in round 25 of the 1983 NSWRFL season. After a promising start to his first grade career he was never able to live up to his famous father's shadow while at the Sharks and after only eight first grade games with them in three years, decided it was best to move on in an attempt to further his career. Wakefield Trinity is a professional rugby league club in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England. British Amateur Rugby League Association
The British Amateur Rugby League Association (BARLA) is an association for social and recreational rugby league. It works jointly with the Rugby Football League through the RFL Community Board. History BARLA was created on 3 March 1973 at the George Hotel in Huddersfield by a group of clubs believing that the Rugby Football League were not doing enough to support the amateur game.
