Sean McCann (ice Hockey)
Sean McCann (born September 18, 1971) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former defenceman who was an All-American for Harvard. Career McCann was a member of Ronn Tomassoni's first recruiting class at Harvard. He played a solid defensive game for the Crimson, helping the team to a decent record as a freshman. The team finished atop their conference standings in his sophomore and junior seasons while being one of the best defensive teams in the country. In 1993 Harvard returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since winning the championship in 1989 but were undone by a double overtime loss in the opening round. For his senior season, McCann was named team captain and went on to produce a rather astounding career year. He more than quadrupled his previous years point total and more than quintupled his goal production. North York
North York is one of the six administrative districts of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located directly north of York, Old Toronto and East York, between Etobicoke to the west and Scarborough to the east. As of the 2016 Census, it had a population of 869,401. List Of Division I AHCA All-American Teams
The Division I AHCA All-American Teams are an annual honor bestowed by the American Hockey Coaches Association to the college hockey players judged to be the top performers in their division. Each team is composed of at least one goaltender, two defensemen and three forwards on ice hockey programs. At least one all-star team has been named by the since the start of NCAA tournament play in 1947–48 after the conclusion of either the regular season or the conference tournaments. Initially the All-American teams weren't named by ACHA. in the first ten years of the teams the players were selected by some combination of media members and team officials. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Typically, a player on the team attempting to score shoots the puck with their stick towards the goal net opening, and a player on the opposing team called a goaltender tries to block the shot to prevent a goal from being scored against their team. The term goal may also refer to the structure in which goals are scored. Danny O'Regan
Daniel O'Regan (born January 30, 1994) is a German-born American professional ice hockey forward for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). O'Regan was drafted in the fifth-round, 138th overall, by the San Jose Sharks in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He is the son of former professional ice hockey player Tom O'Regan. Noah Hanifin
Noah Hanifin (born January 25, 1997) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has previously played for the Carolina Hurricanes, who drafted him fifth overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Amateur Hanifin was to be a top-three pick for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, and the number-one rated defenseman. He was picked fifth overall by the Carolina Hurricanes. Hanifin played for the USA Hockey's U17 program based out of Ann Arbor, Michigan, but was added to the U18 national team as an underage player, helping to lead Team USA to the gold medal at the 2014 IIHF World U18 Championships. The Lake Superior State Lakers men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents Lake Superior State University. The Lakers are a member of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA). They play at the Taffy Abel Arena in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The New Hampshire Wildcats men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents the University of New Hampshire. The Wildcats are a member of Hockey East. They play at the Whittemore Center Arena in Durham, New Hampshire. History Early years The first New Hampshire ice hockey team played in January 1925, winning its first two games in a contest held in Lewiston, Maine. ECAC Hockey
ECAC Hockey is one of the six conferences that compete in NCAA Division I ice hockey. The conference used to be affiliated with the Eastern College Athletic Conference, a consortium of over 300 colleges in the eastern United States. This relationship ended in 2004; however, the ECAC abbreviation was retained in the name of the hockey conference. ECAC Hockey is the only ice hockey conference with identical memberships in both its women's and men's divisions.
