Sean Chen (artist)
Sean Chen (born August 15, 1968, in Washington, D.C.) is an American comic book artist. Career Chen is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University where he received a bachelor's degree in industrial design. He started his career after being discovered by Barry Windsor-Smith. He began his career at Valiant Comics, penciling their flagship title, ''X-O Manowar'', as well as '' Bloodshot'','' Harbinger'', and ''Rai and the Future Force''. His debut book, ''RFF'' #9, sold over 900,000 copies. After Valiant, he then moved on to Marvel Comics, where he drew ''Iron Man'' for over three years. The Big Apple Comic Con is a New York City comic book convention, the longest-running comic book/speculative fiction/pop culture convention in New York City. ''Harbinger'' is an American comic book series published by Valiant Comics about a group of teenage super-powered outcasts known as Harbingers. ''Harbinger'' initially featured writing and art by Jim Shooter and David Lapham. After Acclaim Entertainment purchased the rights to the Valiant catalog for $65 million in 1994, the characters were rebooted in ''Harbinger: Acts of God'' to make them more easily adaptable to video games. Bloodshot (comics)
Bloodshot is a fictional superhero created in 1992 by Kevin VanHook, Don Perlin, and Bob Layton, appearing in books published by the American publisher Valiant Comics. The Bloodshot character has had different origins and incarnations, but he is consistently a character empowered by experimental Molecular machine, nanites (microscopic machines) injected into his bloodstream, a procedure that leaves a red circular scar on his chest, hence the name. This gives Bloodshot enhanced physical traits, the ability to repair damage to his body, an internal database of weapons and hand-to-hand combat training, and a mental connection to computers (technopathy). A side effect of the use of his powers is that his skin becomes chalk-white and his eyes become red. Other powers vary with each incarnation. Valiant Comics is an American comic books, comic book publisher. The company was founded in 1989 by former Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Jim Shooter along with lawyer and businessman Steven Massarsky. In 1994, the company was sold to Acclaim Entertainment. The company was restarted as part of Valiant Entertainment by entrepreneurs Dinesh Shamdasani and Jason Kothari in 2005 after Acclaim declared bankruptcy in 2004. Barry Windsor-Smith
Barry Windsor-Smith (born Barry Smith, 25 May 1949) is a British comic book illustrator and painter whose best known work has been produced in the United States. He attained note working on Marvel Comics' ''Conan the Barbarian'' from 1970 to 1973, and for his work on the character Wolverine, particularly the 1991 "Weapon X" story arc. His other noted Marvel work included a 1984 "Thing" story in ''Marvel Fanfare'', the "Lifedeath" and "Lifedeath II" stories with writer Chris Claremont that focused on the de-powered Storm in ''The Uncanny X-Men'', as well as the 1984 ''Machine Man'' limited series with Herb Trimpe and Tom DeFalco.
