Sea To Sea Green Blue Belt
The Sea to Sea Green Blue Belt is a 62 kilometre (39 mi) long greenbelt surrounding the Greater Victoria metropolitan area in Canada. The greenbelt includes green space, forests, farms, and wetlands stretching from Sooke, British Columbia, Sooke to Salt Spring Island. It also includes the "blue spaces" of Sooke Basin and Saanich Inlet. Saanich Inlet (also Saanich Arm) is a body of salt water that lies between the Saanich Peninsula and the Malahat, British Columbia, Malahat highlands of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. East Sooke Regional Park
East Sooke is an unincorporated community south and east of Sooke, British Columbia, Canada. It consists of over 500 houses (and one volunteer fire department), along with the headquarters of the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue (RCMSAR) organization on the south side of the Sooke Basin. East Sooke borders on East Sooke Regional Park, an area of , with views south to Olympic National Park in the United States. East Sooke does not have a town council. The Greenbelt is a protected green belt traversing Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It includes green space, forests, farms, and wetlands from Shirleys Bay in the west and to Green's Creek in the east. It is the largest publicly owned green belt in the world and the most ecologically diverse area in Eastern Ontario. Sooke Potholes Provincial Park is a 7.28 hectare provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. It is adjacent to the Sooke River and Sooke Potholes Regional Park, near Victoria, British Columbia. Intended primarily to provide access to the Sooke River and the associated potholes, it also offers wildlife viewing and other day-use activities. Environment Sooke Potholes Provincial Park, in the Leeward Island Mountains Ecosection, is primarily focused around a set of naturally-occurring, water-carved potholes along the Sooke River. Sooke Mountain Provincial Park
Sooke Mountain Provincial Park is a Class B provincial park located at the southern end of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. The park was established on June 25, 1928, to protect local wildlife and preserve the scenic wilderness of the area. Sooke Mountain is now part of the larger Sea to Sea Green Blue Belt surrounding Greater Victoria. History The park was originally used as a wilderness destination by the Canadian Pacific Railway where visitors could stay at a private lodge overlooking Sheilds Lake. The lodge burned down in the 1960s with only its brick foundation remaining. The park and its neighbouring properties was logged during the 1950s. Activities The park is largely undeveloped with no park facilities. Fishing, hunting, and backcountry hiking are popular activities. Off-road vehicles are prohibited within the park.
