Sea World (Shenzhen)
Sea World () is a large tourist attraction and mall in Shekou, Nanshan District, Shenzhen. Its main attraction is the large ship, Minghua, in the center of the mall. Inside the boat, there is a hotel. Surrounding the boat, there are many restaurants and hotels including Allatore, Laofangzi, Tequilla Coyotes, baia burger, as well as many other Chinese and Japanese Restaurants. It includes the Sea World Culture and Arts Center. There is also a statue of Nuwa. Water show During the night time, at 7 o'clock, there is water fountain show Music is played, with water sprayers synchronised to the music. In addition, there are lights and even fire, paid for by the Water Design Co Ltd., who invested over 30 million RMB for the project. Shekou
Shekou () is an area at the southern tip of Nanshan District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. It faces Yuen Long, Hong Kong across the Shenzhen Bay. It has been designated as a Free Trade Zone by the government, alongside Qianhai, Hengqin and Nansha New Area. History The area was formerly a customs station of Bao'an County. Minghua (ship)
Minghua (), formerly MV ''Ancerville'', is a 1962 French liner later converted to a cruise ship. Now landlocked, she is the centerpiece of the Sea World development in Shekou, Shenzhen, China. Design and Construction She was designed as a liner for the Compagnie de Navigation Paquet (CNP) to serve their Marseille to Dakar, Senegal route and built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique, St Nazaire. She had a yacht like streamed profile and a unique accommodation arrangement. Her cabins were mostly located forward and the public rooms aft. As built, she had three classes of accommodation, 171 first class, 342 second and 243 third class passengers. First and Second in cabins, Third class in 4 to 10 berth dormitories. All the Cabins and Dormitories were facing outside so all had portholes or windows. Sea World Culture And Arts Center
Sea World Culture and Arts Center is a waterfront situated multi-use culture and arts center within the greater Sea World development in Shekou, Shenzhen, China. The project is a joint venture between the state owned China Merchants Group and Great Britain's Victoria and Albert Museum. It is designed by the Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki. Completed in 2017 the structure is built in two parts. The first part the "sculptural podium" contains the museum and retail stores and the second made up of "three cantilevered volumes' houses a theater, a restaurant and a "multi purpose hall". Located in Shekou, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, this is the Pritzker Prize winning architect Maki's first building in the PRC. The Shenzhen Metro () is the rapid transit system for the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong province, China.
