Sea Baby
Sea Baby is a Ukraine, Ukrainian multi-purpose unmanned surface vehicle (USV) developed for use by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It is able to carry an explosive payload for use in kamikaze attacks, or equipped with other equipment loadouts for more specialised use. Unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), also known as unmanned surface vessels, autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) in some cases, uncrewed surface vessels (USVs), or colloquially drone ships, or robot boats, are boats or ships that operate on the surface of the water without a crew. USVs operate with various levels of autonomy, from remote control to fully autonomous. Some commercial USVs may utilize COLREGs-compliant navigation. Russian Frigate Admiral Makarov
''Admiral Makarov'' is an of the Russian Navy, part of the Black Sea Fleet based at Sevastopol. She was laid down at the Yantar Shipyard in February 2012 and commissioned on 25 December 2017. She is the most recently built of her class, and the third of six ships that had been planned in the class . The R-73 ( NATO reporting name AA-11 ''Archer'') is a short-range air-to-air missile developed by Vympel NPO that entered service in 1984. Development The R-73 was developed to replace the earlier R-60 (AA-8 'Aphid') weapon for short-range use by Soviet fighter aircraft. Work began in 1973, operational in 1982 and the first missiles formally entered service in 1984. The R-73 is an infrared homing (heat-seeking) missile with a sensitive, cryogenic cooled seeker with a substantial "off-boresight" capability: the seeker can detect targets up to 40° off the missile's centerline. Project 22160 Patrol Ship
Project 22160 is a series of large patrol ships being constructed for the Russian Navy. The vessels are primarily intended for duties such as patrol, monitoring and protection in open and closed seas. The first ship was laid down in February 2014 and joined the Russian Navy in December 2018. By January 2018, six ships were under construction. Design The class's armament includes the Kalibr-NK cruise missile, aerosol camouflage, two grenade launchers and two machine guns and a 76.2 mm dual-purpose gun ( AK-176). Angle Of List
The angle of list is the degree to which a vessel heels (leans or tilts) to either port or starboard at equilibrium—with no external forces acting upon it. If a listing ship goes beyond the point where a righting moment will keep it afloat, it will capsize and potentially sink. 2023 Crimean Bridge Explosion
On 17 July 2023, at approximately 3:04 a.m. and 3:20 a.m. Eastern European Summer Time, EEST, the Ukrainian Navy attacked the Crimean Bridge, with two unmanned surface vehicle, suicide sea drones, damaging a span of the road bridge. The explosions killed two civilians and injured one. Ukraine later formally admitted to launching the attack. Thermobaric Weapon
A thermobaric weapon, also called an aerosol bomb, a vacuum bomb or a fuel air explosive (FAE), is a type of explosive that uses oxygen from the surrounding air to generate a high-temperature explosion. The fuel–air explosive is one of the best-known types of thermobaric weapons. Thermobaric weapons are almost 100% fuel and as a result are significantly more energetic than conventional explosives of equal weight.
