A scrim is a woven material, either of fine or coarse material. Light gauzy material A scrim is a very light textile made from fiber based materials, such as yarn. Since scrim is lightweight and translucent (allowing light to pass through), it is quite often used for making curtains. It is also used for bookbinding and upholstery. A scrim is a device used in the films, film and television industries, as well as by photographers, to modify properties of light. The Reverend Colin Graham Scrimgeour (30 January 1903 – 16 January 1987), also known as Uncle Scrim or Scrim, was a New Zealand Methodist Minister and broadcaster. Life and ministry Born in Wairoa, Hawke's Bay, he entered the Methodist Ministry in 1923 and concentrated on social work. He was Auckland Methodist City Missioner for six years. After broadcasting from Radio Station 1ZR, run by the firm of Lewis Eady, he established the Friendly Road Broadcasting Station 1ZB in 1933, associated with the Friendly Road church ( Aunt Daisy broadcast on these stations, and they supported the Labour Party). Suicideboys (stylized as $UICIDEBOY$) is an American hip hop duo from New Orleans, Louisiana. Formed in 2013 by cousins Scrim (stylized as $crim) and Ruby da Cherry, the duo initially rose to popularity on SoundCloud for their abrasive, self-produced beats, as well as their harsh lyrical content and themes prominently featuring substance abuse and suicidal ideation. Scrim is a wire-haired West Highland Terrier, Westie terrier Mongrel, mutt who was rescued from a New Orleans animal shelter in November 2023. He escaped from two homes and remained at large for nearly a year, surviving bullets, a snowstorm, a heat wave, and a hurricane. A "living, panting embodiment of the spirit of New Orleans," his resilience and ability to elude capture became an international news story. History Rescue Scrim was found in a trailer park. Classified as a stray, he was slated for euthanasia when he was rescued from the Terrabonne Parish Animal Shelter by Michelle Cheramie, the founding director of Zeus' Rescue.
