Screwtinized
Slick Idiot is a German electronic and industrial band. History Slick Idiot was formed by former KMFDM members Günter Schulz and En Esch, following the 1999 breakup of KMFDM. Before taking on the name Slick Idiot, Esch and Schulz contributed a cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Terrible Lie" to Cleopatra Records' ''Covered in Nails 2: A Tribute to Nine Inch Nails''. After releasing ''DickNity'' for purchase online, Slick Idiot, with core live members Mel Fuher and drummer/programmer Michael J. Carrasquillo, embarked on the "High Life for Low Lives" US tour in 2002. Cleopatra Records then re-released ''DickNity'' with a bonus remix by Christoph Schneider of Rammstein. In late 2003, Esch and Schulz joined as members of Pigface for the "United II" tour. In October 2004, ''Screwtinized'' was released online via their website and garnered rave reviews. Günter Schulz
Günter Schulz (or Guenter Schulz) is a German musician, songwriter and former member of the industrial band KMFDM. Biography Schulz's first credited appearance (as Svetlana Ambrosius, or Svet Am) was on the band KMFDM's album '' Naïve'' in 1990, although already having appeared on the "Godlike" single which was released 3 months prior (albeit uncredited). He continued using that stage name until 1995's '' Nihil''. Schulz displayed an impressive mastery of speed metal guitar skills and co-wrote many of KMFDM's songs in the 1990s. He also wrote and performed in various KMFDM side projects, including two albums with Sascha Konietzko's Excessive Force and a solo album by En Esch. He currently resides in Vancouver, Canada. In early manifestations of the KMFDM website, Schulz maintained a section called "Günter's Guitar Garage." En Esch
Nicklaus Schandelmaier, (born 23 March 1968) is a German musician, better known by his stage name En Esch, and has been a member of the bands KMFDM, Pigface, Slick Idiot, and . History En Esch, born near Frankfurt, is an orchestra percussionist, drummer, programmer, producer, sound mixer, guitarist and singer. He was a member of the German industrial rock group, KMFDM, from 1985 to 1999, during which time he contributed to ten studio albums and more than a dozen singles as musician, composer and producer. Sascha Konietzko claims to have given Esch his nickname because the latter felt that his real name was inappropriate for the stage. It is derived from the German pronunciation of his initials (N. Sch.). Esch lived in Germany until 1992, when he moved to Chicago to join Konietzko, who had moved there a year earlier. Industrial Rock
Industrial rock is a fusion genre that fuses industrial music and rock music. It initially originated in the 1970s, and drew influence from early experimental and industrial acts such as Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten and Chrome. Hanzel und Gretyl are an American industrial metal band founded in New York City by Kaizer von Loopy and Vas Kallas in February 1993. History ''Machines Good People Bad'' (1995–1999) Hanzel und Gretyl formed in early 1993. In April 1994, they completed a demo entitled ''Kindermusik''. Of the 200 cassette tapes manufactured, most were sent to record labels and fanzines and some were sold on consignment at a local music store called Bleeker Bob's. In January 1995, after refusing offers from at least one major label to resubmit their demo with only English lyrics, they signed with Energy Records, an independent record label based in New York City. Mark Durante
Mark Durante is an American musician and songwriter who is based in Chicago. Career Durante began playing guitar in 1966 after being inspired by the fretwork of Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa and Merle Travis. Ten years later, Durante founded a rock combo he named "Public Enemy". Durante's band bears no relationship to the hip-hop musicians of the same name. The band broke up when Durante expressed a desire to play punk rock. In the early 1980s, Durante played guitar with The Aliens and the punk band The Next Big Thing. In the late 1980s, he played with the Slammin' Watusis who recorded two albums for Epic Records. It was during this time Mark started using the "durantula" moniker given to him by Blue Watusis drummer Marcus David, later to be trademarked. Hope Nicholls
Hope Nicholls (born January 1960) is an American singer-songwriter from Charlotte, North Carolina. She was the lead vocalist of the alternative rock bands Fetchin Bones, Sugarsmack and Snagglepuss. She also briefly toured with Martin Atkins' band Pigface in support of its album '' Fook''. Nicholls is now the lead singer and drummer of a project called It's Snakes. Their eponymously titled, debut record came out in December 2016, self-released. This band features husband and life-long musical collaborator Aaron Pitkin on guitar. She is also a contributing vocalist to The Plaza Family Band, a local education fund-raising project. Genitorturers
The Genitorturers are an American industrial metal band with influences extending into the 1990s hardcore punk and electronic music. They proclaim themselves to be "The World's Sexiest Rock Band". History Originating in Orlando, Florida, the band was founded by lead singer Jennifer "Gen" Zimmerman while attending Rollins college. Originally called The Festering Genitorturers, the band consisted of Gen herself on bass, Marisa on vocals, Yvonne on rhythm guitar, Larry on lead guitar and Mike on drums. Their first performance was at the Ocean Club in Cocoa Beach, Florida, in late 1986. Also on the bill was Declared Ungovernable, Belching Penguins, and the Rhythm Pigs. Abby Travis (born November 10, 1969) is an American musician. In the 1990s, she began working as a touring bass player. She has worked with The Go-Go's, The Eagles of Death Metal, Masters of Reality, The Bangles, KMFDM, Beck, and Elastica. Abby's first solo record was released under the moniker ''The Abby Travis Foundation''; the rest have been under her own.
