Scream VII
''Scream 7'' is an upcoming American slasher film directed by Kevin Williamson and written by Guy Busick, from a story by James Vanderbilt and Busick. It is a sequel to ''Scream VI'' (2023) and the seventh installment in the ''Scream'' film series. The film stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Roger L. Jackson, and David Arquette reprising their roles from previous films, along with Isabel May and Joel McHale. Following the exit of '' Scream'' (2022) and ''Scream VI'' directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett in August 2023, Christopher Landon was hired to direct the seventh ''Scream'' film. However, the film went through a creative retooling after the departure of stars Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega in late 2023, with Landon also exiting the project. Kevin Meade Williamson (born March 14, 1965) is an American screenwriter, director, and producer. He is known for developing and writing the screenplay for the slasher film '' Scream'' (1996)—which launched the ''Scream'' franchise—along with those for ''Scream 2'' (1997) and '' Scream 4'' (2011), and directing '' Scream 7'' (2026). ''Scream VI'' is a 2023 American slasher film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, and written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. It is a sequel to '' Scream'' (2022) and the sixth installment in the ''Scream'' film series. The film stars Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Roger L. Ghostface (alternatively stylized as Ghost Face or GhostFace) is an identity that is adopted by the primary antagonists of the Scream (franchise), ''Scream'' franchise. The figure was originally created by Kevin Williamson (screenwriter), Kevin Williamson, and is primarily mute in person but voiced over the phone by Roger L.
