Scotts is a modern dansband from Lidköping, Sweden. Established in 1992, Scotts competed at Dansbandskampen 2008, finishing up second behind Larz-Kristerz, starting to aim at their ambition becoming a full-time band. The band also competed at Melodifestivalen 2009, with the song " Jag tror på oss".Scotts

Lidköping
Lidköping () is a locality and the seat of Lidköping Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had about 40 000 inhabitants in 2021. It is situated on the southern shore of Lake Vänern and sometimes refers to itself as "Lidköping vid Vänern", to distinguish itself from Linköping near Sweden's east coast. Attempts have been made to change the official name to "Lidköping vid Vänern" but these attempts have not been successful. ''På vårt sätt'' is a studio album from Scotts, released on 19 December 2008. The album topped the Swedish albums chart between 2 and 23 January 2009. The album featured the single "Om igen", peaking at number 27 on the Swedish Singles Chart and also charting at Svensktoppen. The other recordings were cover versions, many of them of songs performed by Scotts during Dansbandskampen 2008. One Dance, One Rose, One Kiss is a song written by Joakim Anrell, and originally recorded by the Refreshments on the 2001 album '' Real Songs on Real Instruments''. as well as releasing it as a single the same year. During the Kikki, Bettan & Lotta tours, the song was also performed, and a live version performed by Bettan and Lotta in 2002 appeared on the 2003 Kikki, Bettan & Lotta compilation album ''Live från Rondo''. ''Vi gör det igen'' was released on 21 April 2010, and is a studio album by Scotts. The album consists of a recording of the song " In a Moment Like This", Denmark's Eurovision Song Contest 2010 entry, here performed by Scotts as a duet with Erica Sjöström from the Drifters, and a recording of The Playtones song "Sofie" from the Dansbandskampen 2009 finals. The album also consists of a recording of the 1966 Sven-Ingvars song, " Kristina från Vilhelmina". The song "Jag ångrar ingenting" charted at Svensktoppen for one week on 25 July 2010, before getting knocked out of chart. ''Längtan'' was released on 29 July 2009, and is a Scotts studio album. On 7 August 2009, the album topped the Swedish albums chart only to have sold over 20 000 copies circa two weeks later, leading to the band being awarded a golden record. The song ''Underbar'' charted at Svensktoppen for two weeks between 23-30 August 2009. Dansband
(; "dance band"), or in Norwegian and Danish, is a Swedish term for a band that plays ("dance band music"). ' is often danced to in pairs. Jitterbug and foxtrot music are often included in this category. The music is primarily inspired by swing, schlager, country, jazz, and rock. The main influence for rock-oriented bands is the rock music of the 1950s and 1960s. The terms ' and ' were coined around 1970, when Swedish popular music developed a signature style. "Jag tror på oss" is a song written by Lars "Dille" Diedricson, Martin Hedström and Ingela "Pling" Forsman, and performed by the Swedish band Scotts at Melodifestivalen 2009. Through the semifinal in Gothenburg on 7 February 2009, the song went to Andra chansen where it failed to reach the finals. The song peaked at 3rd place on the Swedish singles chart. The song was also tested for Svensktoppen on 12 April 2009 but failed to go through. Later in 2009, the song was also added as a bonus track on the Scotts album '' Längtan''. After Dark was originally asked to participate with the song, but declined following scheduling problems.
