Scottie Mayfield (born 1950/1951) is the president of Mayfield Dairy Farms. Early life and education Since he was 11 years old, Mayfield worked for the family business. Mr. Mayfield was a graduate of the Baylor School in Chattanooga and a 1973 graduate of Georgia Tech's College of Management. He went on to earn an Executive MBA from Emory University in 1986. Career Mayfield's grandfather founded Mayfield Dairy Farms. After graduation, Mayfield returned to the family business, and was named president of the organization in 1995. Mayfield handles most of the firm's advertising. The ''Knoxville News Sentinel, also known as Knox News,'' is a daily newspaper in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States, owned by the Gannett Company. History The newspaper was formed in 1926 from the merger of two competing newspapers: ''The Knoxville News'' and ''The Knoxville Sentinel''. John Trevis Hearn began publishing ''The Sentinel'' in December 1886, while ''The News'' was started in 1921 by Robert P. Scripps and Roy W. Howard. The two merged in 1926, with the first edition of ''The Knoxville News-Sentinel'' appearing on November 22 of that year. The editor from 1921 to 1931, Edward J. The 3rd congressional district of Tennessee is a congressional district in East Tennessee. It has been represented by Republican Chuck Fleischmann since January 2011. Current boundaries The district comprises two halves, joined together through a narrow tendril in Roane County near Ten Mile. The upper half borders Kentucky to the north and is composed of Scott, Morgan, Roane, Anderson, and Union counties, as well as most of Campbell County. The lower half borders North Carolina to the east and Georgia to the south. It is composed of Hamilton, Polk, McMinn, and Monroe, and the southern half of Bradley County. The 2012 United States House of Representatives elections in Tennessee was held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, to elect the nine U.S. representatives from the state of Tennessee, one from each of the state's nine congressional districts. Charles Joseph Fleischmann (; born October 11, 1962) is an American attorney and politician who has been the U.S. representative for since 2011. The district is based in Chattanooga and includes a large part of East Tennessee, including Oak Ridge. He is a member of the Republican Party. Early life, education, and law career Fleischmann was born in Manhattan, New York City, and is a resident of Ooltewah, an unincorporated suburban community east of Chattanooga. He is the son of Rose Marie (née Salvo) and Max Fleischmann, Jr. Fleischmann is of Italian, English, and Austro- Hungarian descent, and is a distant relative of Harry Houdini.
