Scott Selwood
Scott Francis Selwood (born 27 March 1990) is an Australian rules footballer who currently plays for the Ivanhoe Football Club in the Northern Football Netball League (NFNL). He previously played professionally for the West Coast Eagles and Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). As an Eagle, Selwood won a John Worsfold Medal in 2012, and was one of five acting captains at the club in the second half of the 2014 season after then-captain Darren Glass retired midway through the season. He moved to Geelong via free agency at the end of the 2015 season, playing alongside his brother and former Geelong captain Joel Selwood for a further four seasons. 2008 AFL Season
The 2008 AFL season was the 112th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. Troy William Selwood (1 May 1984 – 4 February 2025) was an Australian rules footballer who played 75 games for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was also captain of the Geelong Football Club's team in the Victorian Football League (VFL) from 2011 to 2013. AFL career Selwood was drafted by the Brisbane Lions with the number 19 pick in the 2002 AFL draft from Sandhurst. Adam Murray Selwood (1 May 1984 – 17 May 2025) was an Australian rules footballer who played 11 seasons for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally from Bendigo, Victoria, Selwood was recruited by West Coast in the third round of the 2002 National Draft. He made his debut for the club in 2003, and received a nomination for the AFL Rising Star two seasons later, in 2005. Joshua James Kennedy (born 25 August 1987) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for Carlton from 2006 to 2007 and is regarded as one of the best key-forwards of his generation. Shannon William Hurn (born 4 September 1987) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). From South Australia, he excelled at both cricket and football at junior level, and at one stage had a rookie contract with the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA). Prior to being drafted by West Coast, Hurn played for in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), playing in premiership sides in 2004 and 2005. Dean Michael Cox (born 1 August 1981) is a retired Australian rules footballer and the current senior coach of the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). Cox played a 290-game career with the West Coast Eagles. Originally from Dampier, Western Australia, he debuted with in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) in 2000. The Western Derby () is the name given to the Australian rules football matches between the West Coast Eagles and the Fremantle Dockers, who both participate in the Australian Football League (AFL) and AFL Women's (AFLW).
