Thomas Scott "Flip" Phillips (born February 22, 1973) is an American musician, songwriter and record producer. He is the drummer, percussionist, keyboardist and co-founder of the bands Creed, Alter Bridge, and Projected. Life and career Phillips grew up in Madison, Florida. He started out playing in a band called Crosscut at 18. He was a founding member of the band Creed. After Creed dissolved, he joined Alter Bridge in 2004 with fellow then-former Creed members bassist Brian Marshall and lead guitarist Mark Tremonti. He is a self-taught drummer, starting at age 18, and has also played piano and saxophone. Phillips is credited with playing drums and keyboards on Creed's 2001 album Weathered, along with 1997's My Own Prison and 1999's Human Clay. In early 2012, Phillips joined the supergroup Projected with musicians from Sevendust and Submersed. He now lives in Central Florida with his wife and their daughter. Scott Phillips (born 1961) is an American writer primarily of crime fiction in the noir tradition. He was born in Wichita, Kansas, and after co-writing and directing the independent short film ''Walking Blues'' lived for several years in France, working as a translator and photographer. He returned to the United States living in California as a screenwriter, co-writing a 1996 thriller called ''Crosscut'' among many other projects, both credited and uncredited. He has sometimes been confused with another author of the same professional name. David Scott Phillips (born 31 March 1994) is a Welsh former first-class cricketer. Phillips was born at Swansea in March 1994. He was educated at Coedcae School, before going up to Cardiff Metropolitan University. While studying at Cardiff, he made a single appearance in first-class cricket for Cardiff MCCU against Glamorgan at Sophia Gardens in 2013. taking the wickets of Will Bragg and Stewart Walters in the Glamorgan first innings, in addition to scoring 7 runs from the tail in the Cardiff first innings.
