Scott McDaniel
Scott McDaniel (born 1965) is an American comics artist whose comic book work includes Marvel Comics' "Fall from Grace" storyline for the '' Daredevil'' series. Artwork for DC Comics includes a run on ''Batman'' as regular penciller, ''Nightwing'', '' Richard Dragon'', and most recently ''Green Arrow''. Biography Early life and career McDaniel was born in 1965 in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a fan of superheroes, and his mother would buy him stacks of comics from flea markets. He learned to draw from all those old comics. McDaniel graduated from the Penn Hills Senior High School in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. After graduation Scott wanted to be a surgeon, and attended Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, where his father's heart surgeon studied. He was enrolled as a Pre-Med student until the day he walked into Inorganic Chemistry and saw a 4-foot-long Schrödinger Wave equation scrawled on the chalk board. ''52'' is a weekly American comic book limited series published by DC Comics that debuted on May 10, 2006, one week after the conclusion of the ''Infinite Crisis'' miniseries. The series was written by Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, and Mark Waid, with layouts by Keith Giffen. ''52'' also led into a few limited series spin-offs. ''52'' consists of 52 issues, published weekly for one year, each issue detailing an actual week chronicling the events that took place during the missing year after the end of ''Infinite Crisis''. The series covers much of the DC Universe, and several characters whose disparate stories interconnect. The story is directly followed by the weekly limited series ''Countdown to Final Crisis''. ''Detective Comics'' (later retitled as ''Batman Detective Comics'') is an American comic book series published by Detective Comics, later shortened to DC Comics. The first volume, published from 1937 to 2011 (and later continued in 2016), is best known for introducing the superhero Batman in Detective Comics 27, ''Detective Comics'' #27 (Cover date, cover-dated May 1939). A second series of the same title was launched in September 2011, but in 2016, reverted to the original volume numbering. Harold "Hal" Jordan, one of the characters known as Green Lantern, is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created in 1959 by writer John Broome (writer), John Broome and artist Gil Kane, and first appeared in ''Showcase (comics), Showcase'' #22 (October 1959). Hal Jordan is a reinvention of the previous Green Lantern, who appeared in 1940s comic books as the character Alan Scott.
