Scott MacLeod (ice Hockey)
Scott MacLeod (born May 17, 1959) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey player. Early life Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, MacLeod played junior hockey in the Western Hockey League with the Brandon Wheat Kings, New Westminster Bruins, and Calgary Wranglers. He was selected to play with Team Canada at the 1979 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. Career MacLeod began his professional career in 1979 with Oji Seishi in the Japan Ice Hockey League. Oji Eagles
The Red Eagles Hokkaido (レッドイーグルス北海道) are a professional ice hockey team based in Tomakomai city on Hokkaidō, Japan. They are members of the Asia League Ice Hockey. History The club was founded as the Oji Eagles in 1925. They have won the Japan League 13 times, the All Japan Championship 37 times and the Asia League 2 times. Central Hockey League (1963–1984)
The Central Hockey League (CHL) was a North American mid-level minor professional ice hockey league which operated from 1992 until 2014. It was founded by Ray Miron and Bill Levins and later sold to Global Entertainment Corporation, which operated the league from 2000 to 2013, at which point it was purchased by the individual franchise owners. As of the end of its final season in 2014, three of the 30 National Hockey League teams had affiliations with the CHL: the Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, and Tampa Bay Lightning. Several teams of defunct leagues joined the CHL along its history, including the Southern Hockey League, Western Professional Hockey League and International Hockey League. IIHF World U20 Championship
The IIHF World Junior Championship (WJC), sometimes referred to as World Juniors, is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) for national under-20 ice hockey teams from around the world. It is traditionally held in late December, ending in early January (beginning from Boxing Day to January 5). The tournament usually attracts the top hockey players in this age category. The main tournament features the top ten ranked hockey nations in the world, comprising the 'Top Division', from which a world champion is crowned. Toronto Marlies
The Toronto Marlies are a professional ice hockey team based in Toronto. They compete in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a member of the North Division of the Eastern Conference. The Marlies are owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, a company that owns several professional sports teams in the city, including their NHL affiliate, the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Marlies have played their home games at Coca-Cola Coliseum since 2005. The Marlies were established as the New Brunswick Hawks in 1978. The Springfield Falcons were a ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) and played in Springfield, Massachusetts, at the MassMutual Center. In 2016, the Falcons' franchise was purchased by the National Hockey League (NHL)'s Arizona Coyotes and relocated to Tucson, Arizona, before the start of the 2016–17 AHL season. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America that serves as the primary developmental league of the National Hockey League (NHL). The league comprises 32 teams, with 26 in the United States and 6 in Canada. As of the 2024–25 AHL season, all 32 NHL teams held affiliations with an AHL team. Wade MacLeod (born January 20, 1987) is a Canadians, Canadian professional ice hockey player currently signed to Norwegian side Narvik IK. He most recently played for Manchester Storm (2015-), Manchester Storm in the UK Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). Playing career MacLeod attended the Northeastern University from 2007 to 2011, where he played NCAA Division I college hockey with the Northeastern Huskies men's ice hockey team, scoring 137 points in 149 games played. The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and the highest level of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A. Italian Hockey League Serie A, formerly known as Serie A, is the top tier of professional ice hockey in Italy, which first began play in 1925.
