Scott Hotham
Scott Hotham (born July 19, 1984) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman who most recently played for Brantford Blast in the ACH. He previously played with Cardiff Devils in the British EIHL. Playing career Hotham played major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League and played college hockey with Saint Mary's University. In 2005, Hotham played two games with the Rockford IceHogs of the UHL, but did not play his first full season of professional hockey until the 2009–10 season, which he played primarily in the ECHL with the Florida Everblades. Hotham played a season (2016/17) in the UK with EIHL side Cardiff Devils alongside his brother Andrew, helping the Devils to a league and cup double. He has since had spells with ACH sides Stoney Creek Generals and Brantford Blast. Rochester Americans
The Rochester Americans (colloquially known as the Amerks) are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League; the team is an owned and operated affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres. The team plays its home games in Rochester, New York, at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial. The Americans are the fourth oldest franchise in the AHL, and have the second longest continuous tenure among AHL teams in their current locations after the Hershey Bears. The Rockford IceHogs were a minor professional ice hockey team in Rockford, Illinois. They were a member of the United Hockey League from 1999 to 2007. The IceHogs played their home games at the MetroCentre. In 2007, the name and logo were purchased and applied to the current American Hockey League franchise. After the transfer of the name and logo to the AHL franchise was complete, the UHL IceHogs ceased operations. The IceHogs began play in October 1999. The team name, IceHogs, was selected during a "name-the-team" contest. Greg Hotham
Gregory S. Hotham (born March 7, 1956) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played 230 games in the National Hockey League with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Pittsburgh Penguins between 1979 and 1985. He was selected by the Maple Leafs in the 5th round, 84th overall, of the 1976 NHL Amateur Draft. Hotham was born in London, Ontario, but grew up in Aurora, Ontario. Defence or defense (in American English) in ice hockey is a player position that is primarily responsible for preventing the opposing team from scoring. They are often referred to as defencemen, D, D-men or blueliners (the latter a reference to the blue line in ice hockey which represents the boundary of the offensive zone; defencemen generally position themselves along the line to keep the puck in the zone). The Stoney Creek Generals were a Canadian senior ice hockey team playing out of Gateway Ice Centre in Stoney Creek, Ontario. Andrew Hotham (born August 29, 1986) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman. He previously played four seasons with Welsh EIHL team Cardiff Devils, claiming five trophies and four EIHL defenseman of the year awards.
