Scott Goodman (coach)
Scott William Goodman (born 27 June 1960) is a leading Australian Paralympic athletics coach and sports administrator. Goodman was born on 27 June 1960 in Melbourne, Victoria. In the 1980, he was a physical education teacher in Tasmania. In 1990, he completed a Master of Applied Science at Phillip Institute of Technology. His thesis was titled: An Investigation of the physical fitness of Victorian spinal cord dysfunction children and youth. In 1990, he moved to Canberra to work at the Australian Coaching Council, which was located at the Australian Institute of Sport. Between 1990 and 1998, he worked in the area of coaching athletes with a disability. This work resulted in the publication of the following important coaching resources: *Nunn, C.J. and Goodman, S. Damien Burroughs
Damien Alexander Burroughs, (born 28 October 1978) is an Australian Paralympic athlete. He won a gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Games and participated in the 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens Paralympics. Personal life Burroughs was born on 28 October 1978 in West Union, Ohio in the United States. He migrated to Australia with his family in 1979. Burroughs has a form of cerebral palsy – which affects the right side of the body. He attended St Francis Xavier College and Hawker College in Canberra. On growing up with a disability, Burroughs commented "I was the only 'disabled' kid in my year at school so I had no choice on who I wanted to do PE hysical educationwith. I did everything in PE or had a go at it. Something I was very bad at but not the worst. It made me feel better about myself. The Paralympic Games or Paralympics is a periodic series of international multisport events involving athletes with a range of disabilities. The Australian Sports Medal is an award given to recognise achievements in Australian sport to commemorate Australian participation in major sporting events. Original recipients of the award included competitors, coaches, sports scientists, office holders, and people who maintained sporting facilities and services. During the original period of its award in 2000–2001, over 18,000 medals were awarded. The award was permanently reactivated in 2020 to commemorate Australian contributions and participation in major multi-sport events. Wayne Bell (wrestler)
Wayne Bell is the creator of the WWIV BBS system. The first WWIV BBS went online in Los Angeles in December 1984. His BBS, WWIV version 1.0 written in BASIC and 2.0 written in Turbo Pascal later came to be named Amber, node 1 of the WWIVnet BBS network. His handle as the SysOp was Laison Al'Gaib when it was WWIV WWIV was a brand of bulletin board system software popular from the late 1980s through the mid-1990s. The modifiable source code allowed a sysop to customize the main BBS program for their particular needs and aesthetics. WWIV also allowed tens ..., then Random when it became Amber.
