Scott Friedholm
Scott A. Friedholm (born March 14, 1975) is an Americans, American college baseball coach and former catcher. Friedholm is the former head coach of the UNC Asheville Bulldogs baseball team. Amateur career Friedholm attended Walpole High School in Walpole, Massachusetts. Friedholm played for the school's varsity team, varsity baseball team. Friedholm then enrolled at Providence College, to play college baseball for the Providence Friars baseball team. As a freshman at Providence College in 1995, Friedholm was a member of the Friars team that won a school record 44 games and winning the Big East Conference (1979–2013), Big East Conference. In 1996, he played collegiate summer baseball for the Chatham A's of the Cape Cod Baseball League, where he was a league all-star and helped lead the team to the league title. Collegiate Summer Baseball
Collegiate summer baseball leagues are amateur baseball leagues in the United States and Canada featuring players who have attended at least one year of college and have at least one year of athletic eligibility remaining. Generally, they operate from early June to early August. In contrast to college baseball, which allow aluminum or other composite baseball bats, players in these leagues use only wooden bats, hence the common nickname of these leagues as "wood-bat leagues". Collegiate summer leagues allow college baseball players the ability to compete using professional rules and equipment, giving them experience and allowing professional scouts the opportunity to observe players under such conditions. Mike Gambino
Michael L. Gambino (born July 9, 1977) is an American baseball coach and former infielder, who is the current head baseball coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions. Prior to accepting the head coaching position at Penn State, he served as an assistant and head coach at Boston College, a position he held for 12 years. He scouted for the Detroit Tigers, and served as an assistant at Virginia Tech. Gambino played college baseball at Boston College from 1997–2000. Paul Kostacopoulos
Paul Kostacopoulos (born November 28, 1964) is an American college baseball coach. He was the head coach of the Navy Midshipmen from 2006 until 2023. Prior to Navy, he was the head coach at both Maine and Providence. With the three programs, Kostacopoulos has appeared in a total of five NCAA tournaments. Kostacopoulos played college baseball at Providence from 1984 to 1987. Coaching career Providence Kostacopoulos spent two seasons as an assistant at Providence, and became the head coach for the start of the 1990 season. The Florida State League (FSL) is a Minor League Baseball league based in the state of Florida.
