Scott Fountain
Scott Fountain (born February 28, 1966) is an American football coach who is the special teams coordinator at the University of Arkansas. Prior to being hired at Arkansas, he was the special teams coordinator at the University of Georgia. Early life Fountain was born in East Brewton, Alabama on February 28, 1966, where he grew up and graduated from W.S. Neal High School in 1984. He later went on to play football as an offensive lineman for Samford University from 1984 to 1988. Coaching career High School Coaching Scott began his career in coaching after graduating from Samford at the high school level. He made four stops throughout Alabama high school football, including Flomaton HS 1988 and W.S. Neal HS 1989, his alma mater. He became a head coach for the first time at Frisco City HS 1990-1992 and made his final stop at the high school level in 1993 at Monroe County. Special Teams Coordinator
In American football, the specific role that a player takes on the field is referred to as their "position". Under the modern rules of American football, both teams are allowed 11 players on the field at one time and have "unlimited free substitutions", meaning that they may change any number of players during any "dead ball" situation. This has resulted in the development of three task-specific "platoons" of players within any single team: the offense (the team with possession of the ball, which is trying to score), the defense (the team trying to prevent the other team from scoring, and to take the ball from them), and the so-called 'special teams' (who play in all kicking situations). Mississippi State Bulldogs Football
The Mississippi State Bulldogs football program represents Mississippi State University in the sport of American football. 2005 Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders Football Team
The 2005 Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders football team represented Middle Tennessee State University in the 2005 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Coming off a 5–6 season the year prior, the Blue Raiders finished with a 4–7 record and a 3–4 record in the Sun Belt Conference to tie for fourth in the conference standings. Following the season, fellow fourth-place FIU was sanctioned by the NCAA and forced to vacate their wins. Additionally, first-place Arkansas State was found guilty of NCAA violations and self-imposed punishments including the vacating of four of their six wins that season. Head coach Andy McCollum, as well as the offensive and defensive coordinators for the Blue Raiders, were fired following the conclusion of the 2005 season. The 2003 UCF Golden Knights football team represented the University of Central Florida in the 2003 NCAA Division I-A football season. After signing a three-year contract extension to begin the season, head coach Mike Kruczek was fired following a 3–7 start. 1997 UCF Golden Knights Football Team
The 1997 UCF Golden Knights football season was the nineteenth overall season for the team, and second season as an NCAA Division I-A Independent. It would be the thirteenth and final season for head coach Gene McDowell. McDowell's 1997 team finished with a 5–6 overall record, matching the record from the previous season. McDowell would resign at season's end in the wake of a cell phone fraud scandal. His tenure as head coach came to a close after compiling an 86–61 record. To-date, McDowell still has the most wins as head coach in program history. UCF started to gain notoriety in 1997, building their program, and playing a higher-profile schedule, including several SEC teams. Bobby Bowden
Robert Cleckler Bowden (; November 8, 1929 – August 8, 2021) was an American college football coach. Bowden coached the Florida State Seminoles of Florida State University (FSU) from 1976 to 2009 and is considered one of the greatest college football coaches of all time for his accomplishments with the Seminoles. During his time at Florida State, Bowden led FSU to an Associated Press and Coaches Poll National Title in 1993 and a BCS National Championship in 1999, as well as twelve Atlantic Coast Conference championships once FSU joined the conference in 1991. Bowden's Seminoles finished as an AP top-5 team for 14 consecutive seasons, setting a record which doubled the closest program.
