Scott Brown (bassist)
Scott George Brown (born October 6, 1964) is a Canadian bassist who is a member of the rock band Trooper. He has also worked with vocalist Paul Laine, both as a solo artist and with Danger Danger. Brown joined Trooper in 1996 and has toured with the band ever since, making him one of the longest-running members in the band's history. Brown was featured when Trooper performed in the 2010 Olympics Victory Ceremonies in Vancouver, British Columbia, on February 21, 2010. Coverage of the event was broadcast in Canada and around the world on networks such as CTV and MuchMusic. In May 2023, Trooper was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and Brown received the Juno statuette as one of the inducted members. Trooper (band)
Trooper is a Canadian rock band formed by singer Ra McGuire and guitarist Brian Smith in 1975. The group is best known for their 1970s hits " Raise a Little Hell", " We're Here for a Good Time (Not a Long Time)", "The Boys in the Bright White Sports Car", " Round Round We Go", "General Hand Grenade", "3 Dressed Up as a 9", "Janine", "Two for the Show", "Oh, Pretty Lady" and "Santa Maria". Paul Laine
Paul Robert Laine is a Canadian musician. He began his professional career as a solo artist, then was the singer of Danger Danger out of New York for eleven years, then fronted his own band, Shugaazer. Laine now has a band called "Darkhorse," whose album ''Let It Ride'' was released on April 29, 2014. He also teamed up with his former Danger Danger bandmates Bruno Ravel and Rob Marcello to form "The Defiants," who released their debut self-titled album on April 15, 2016. In 2022, Paul teamed up with Lee Revill with the new band, Jet Set Junkies. 2024 found Paul joining the Canadian Music Hall of Fame group Trooper as lead singer. Danger Danger is an American hard rock band formed in Queens, New York, in 1986. History Danger Danger was formed in 1986 by former Hotshot members lead vocalist Mike Pont (joined in 1987), bassist Bruno Ravel, and drummer Steve West (joined in 1987). This lineup also featured then future Savatage and Megadeth guitarist Al Pitrelli and keyboardist Kasey Smith. Mike Pont later left the band and was replaced by Ted Poley, who previously played in the band Prophet (band), Prophet as drummer, and sometimes lead vocalist. Somewhere during this time, they made a failed attempt at recording a demo. They made another attempt at recording a demo and this time it landed them a recording contract with Epic Records. MuchMusic
Much is a Canadian English language discretionary specialty channel owned by BCE Inc. through its Bell Media subsidiary that airs programming aimed at teenagers and young adults. Canadian Music Hall Of Fame
The Canadian Music Hall of Fame was established in 1978 by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) to honour Canadian musicians for their lifetime achievements in music. The award presentation is held each year as part of the Juno Award ceremonies. Since 2012, the inductee also performs at the ceremony, almost always as the final performer. A hall facility was opened in Calgary in 2016 located within The National Music Centre in Calgary, Alberta.
