Scott Anderson (Hollyoaks)
Scott Anderson is a fictional character from the British soap opera ''Hollyoaks'', played by Daniel Hyde (actor), Daniel Hyde. The character debuted during the main series spin-off titled ''Hollyoaks: Indecent Behaviour'', which was released on home media on 17 November 2001. He made his main show debut during the episode broadcast on 4 December 2001. Scott initially appeared on a recurring basis but Hyde was promoted to the regular cast and Scott's storylines were expanded when he buys The Loft night club. Scott is characterised as a "bad boy" type who is "ambitious and possessive" but knows how to use his charm. Writers used Scott to generate controversy within the show. ''Hollyoaks'' is a British soap opera which originally began airing on Channel 4 on 23 October 1995. It was created by Phil Redmond, who had previously conceived the soap opera ''Brookside (TV series), Brookside''. From 2005 to 2023, episodes have aired on sister channel E4 (TV channel), E4 a day prior to their broadcast on Channel 4. Sir Philip Redmond (born 10 June 1949) is an English television producer and screenwriter. He is known for creating the television series ''Grange Hill'', ''Brookside'' and ''Hollyoaks''. Early life and education Redmond was born in Huyton, England. He took the 11-plus and passed, but attended St Kevin's RC School in Northwood, Kirkby (it became All Saints Catholic High School, Kirkby). His mother was a cleaner and his father was a bus driver.
