Henri Belolo (; 27 November 1936 – 3 August 2019) was a French music producer and songwriter active during the disco era. Born in Morocco, he started his career as a club DJ and A&R man. In the 1970s, with his friend, composer Jacques Morali, he worked in the United States, creating The Ritchie Family as well as their most successful group, Village People. Life and career Belolo was born to a Moroccan Jewish family in Casablanca, Morocco, and grew up there listening to music introduced by US troops as well as that of African musicians. He studied business in Casablanca, before traveling in 1956 to Paris, France, where he met record company owner and producer Eddie Barclay. Belolo worked with Barclay, importing and promoting records, and started working as a club DJ, work which he continued after returning to Casablanca. DHT (band)
DHT (sometimes stylized as D.H.T., acronym for Dance House Trance) was a Belgian duo consisting of singer Edmée Daenen (born 25 March 1985 in Kortrijk) and Flor Theeuwes, also known as DJ Da Rick (born 28 August 1976 in Turnhout). It had a hit in the US and Australia in 2005, with its cover version of " Listen to Your Heart", originally recorded by Roxette. Firebeatz is a Dutch DJ and music production duo consisting of Tim Benjamin Smulders (; born 14 August 1985) and Jurre van Doeselaar (; born 7 July 1987). The duo formed in Tilburg in 2008, and gained fame in the EDM scene through their dance floor hits like "Dear New York", "Here We F*cking Go" and "Helicopter". The duo has since worked with well-known artists such as Calvin Harris, Tiësto and Martin Garrix. Music career Tim and Jurre met at the School of Arts in Tilburg, the Netherlands and discovered a similar interest in music. Their chemistry prompted them to form Firebeatz in 2008. Najoua Belyzel (born Najoua Mazouri; 15 December 1981, in Nancy, France) is a French pop rock/electronic singer of Moroccan descent. Biography Najoua was born in Nancy, France and grew up in a large family with three sisters and two brothers. Her parents are both from Morocco. Since childhood she showed an interest in music; by age 14, she had begun writing her own songs. Starting in 2001, Najoua studied law at the University of Nancy, but left for Paris to pursue a career in music.
