Scissors For Lefty is an indie rock band based in San Francisco, California, USA. The band's first album, ''Bruno'', was released in 2005 by Rough Trade Records ( UK). Biography Three of the band's members, Bryan Garza, Peter Krimmel and James Krimmel, met in San Luis Obispo while attending college, and later moved to San Francisco. The band consists of two sets of families : Bryan, Robby, Steve and Eric Garza, with Peter and James Krimmel. Scissors For Lefty has released three full-length albums. The first, ''Bruno'' in 2005, was self-produced and released by the band. ''Underhanded Romance'' was released by Eenie Meenie Records on June 12, 2007, and on the iTunes Store on May 29, 2007. Metric is a Canadian rock band founded in 1998 in Toronto, Ontario. The band consists of Emily Haines (lead vocals, synthesizers, guitar, tambourine, harmonica, piano), James Shaw (guitar, synthesizers, theremin, backing vocals), Joshua Winstead (bass, synthesizers, backing vocals) and Joules Scott-Key (drums, percussion). French Kicks
French Kicks are an American indie rock group from New York City, United States. Their sound is a mix of garage rock, post-punk, and modded pop. History Three of the original four band members, bassist Jamie Krents, vocalist/drummer Nick Stumpf, and vocalist/guitarist Matthew Stinchcomb (currently Etsy's European Director), are from Washington, D.C. They were heavily influenced by the hardcore scene that flourished during their youth in the D.C. area. They began playing together in a series of bands while in their teens and then all attended Oberlin College in Ohio, where they continued to play together. Locksley (band)
Locksley is an indie four-piece pop rock/power pop band from Madison, Wisconsin. They are self-released on their own Feature Records label. Their songwriting is heavily influenced by early British Invasion bands with an instrumental style based more on early American punk bands and modern garage rock groups. The band describe their sound as doo-wop punk. Beginnings, ''Don't Make Me Wait'' (2003–2009) Locksley was formed in Madison, Wisconsin in 2003 by Jesse Laz, Sam Bair, Kai Kennedy and Aaron Collins. They were students at Madison West High School. The band relocated to New York shortly after forming. Their first show was September 10, 2003, at the CBGB Gallery. Juliette And The Licks
Juliette and the Licks is an American rock band led by actress and singer Juliette Lewis. Other band members have included guitarist Craig Fairbaugh and guitarist Emilio Cueto, bassist Jason Womack and drummer Ed Davis. Their popular songs include "You're Speaking My Language" and "Hot Kiss". The band broke up in 2009. They reunited for a Los Angeles show in 2015, followed by extensive touring in 2016. The Hedrons were an all-girl four-piece rock band, formed in early 2005 in their native Glasgow. Career The band have released three singles on the Glasgow-based label, Measured Records. Two singles went top 5 and one went top 20 in the Scottish Chart. Their debut album ''One More Won't Kill Us'' was released on 5 February 2007. 1990s are an indie rock three-piece band from Glasgow, Scotland. History They were signed to Rough Trade Record Company (home of many notable acts such as The Strokes and The Long Blondes) when they were spotted at only their sixth gig (a first for Rough Trade) and released two albums, ''Cookies'' and ''Kicks''. Lead singer Jackie (aka John) McKeown and bassist, Jamie McMorrow, were the founding members of Scottish indie band The Yummy Fur. The line-up over the years that The Yummy Fur existed changed on numerous occasions. Dirty Pretty Things were an English band fronted by Carl Barât, a member of The Libertines. The formation of the band was announced in September 2005, after a dispute between Barât and Pete Doherty led to the breakup of The Libertines in 2004. Erasure () is an English synth-pop duo formed in London in 1985, consisting of lead vocalist and songwriter Andy Bell with songwriter, producer and keyboardist Vince Clarke, previously known as co-founder of the band Depeche Mode and a member of synth-pop duo Yazoo.
