Karl Schönherr
Karl Schönherr (24 February 1867 - 15 March 1943) was an Austrian writer of Austrian Heimat themes. Biography Schönherr was born in Axams, near Innsbruck (Austria), to Joseph and Marie Suitner Schönherr. He began studying philosophy in Innsbruck, then switched to medicine in Vienna, becoming a doctor in 1896. He worked in a hospital in St. Pölten before opening his own practice in Vienna. He gave up practising after the success of ''Der Bildschnitzer''. He experienced the poor living conditions of the people around him, especially during World War I, and wrote about these topics. Schönherr's works include protests against the Catholic church. He was also in favor of the Anschluss, but apparently did not share antisemitic tendencies. His wife Malvine (1867-1956) was Jewish. Max Schönherr
Max Schönherr (23 November 190313 December 1984) was an Austrian composer, arranger and conductor. Biography Born in Maribor, Schönherr studied in Graz under Roderich Mojsisovics von Mojsvar and was a composer of light orchestral music in Vienna. He died in Baden bei Wien. Outside his native country, Schönherr was best known for his ''Austrian Peasant Dances Op. 14'', which became widely popular internationally. His other compositions include a ''Concertino for Piano and small Orchestra'', ''Festive Musical for Piano and small Orchestra'', ''Dances of Salzburg'' for small or salon orchestra, ''Perpetual Motion Op. 29", ''Das Trünkene Mucklein'', and the ballet ''Hotel Sacher''. As an arranger he prepared notable editions of music by Johann and Josef Strauß. These include the ''Annen-Polka'', the ''Perpetuum mobile'' and ''Auf der Jagd'' by Johann, and the ''Delirien'' and ''Sphärenklänge'' waltzes by Josef. Carl Johan Schönherr
Carl Johan Schönherr (10 June 1772 – 28 March 1848) was a Swedish people, Swedish entomologist who revised the Taxonomy (biology), taxonomy of beetles, including weevils by examining all the descriptions of beetles since the time of Linnaeus. He began with an examination of the Charles De Geer, Charles de Geer collection which had been handed to the Swedish Academy of Sciences in 1778. He introduced the system of using a red label to mark historical specimens that had served as the basis of De Geer's descriptions. This continues to be a standard practice in entomological collections today for Holotype, holotypes. Dietmar Otto Schönherr (; 17 May 1926 – 18 July 2014) was an Austrian film actor. He appeared in 120 films between 1944 and 2014.
