Christoph Maria Michael Hugo Damian Peter Adalbert Schönborn, OP (; born 22 January 1945) is a Bohemian-born Austrian Catholic prelate who served as Archbishop of Vienna from 1995 until 2025. He was chairman of the Austrian Bishops' Conference from 1998 to 2020 and was made a cardinal in 1998. He is a member of the Dominican Order. Schönborn is Grand Chaplain of the Order of the Golden Fleece (Austrian branch), of which he has been a member since 1961. Bad Schönborn is a Municipalities of Germany, municipality in northern Karlsruhe (district), Karlsruhe district in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is located on the Bertha Benz Memorial Route. Eleonore Schönborn
Eleonore Gräfin von Schönborn ( Freiin von Doblhoff; 14 April 1920 – 25 February 2022) was an Austrian politician and member of the House of Schönborn. Being ethnic Germans, she and her family were expelled from Czechoslovakia in 1945, settling in Austria. She became the first woman to hold a procuriate in Vorarlberg, and to be elected to the Schruns municipal council. She was director of the Montafoner Heimatmuseum, and co-founded an association for care of senior citizens at their homes. She received awards for her work for cultural and social improvements in the region, including the Decoration of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria.
