Brian James Dugan (born September 23, 1956) is an American convicted rapist and serial killer active between 1983 and 1985 in Chicago's western suburbs. He was known for having informally confessed in 1985 to the February 1983 abduction, rape and murder of 10-year-old Jeanine Nicarico of Naperville, Illinois, which was a highly publicized case. He was already in custody for two other rapes and murders, one of a woman in July 1984 and the other a 7-year-old girl in May 1985. He was sentenced to life after pleading guilty to the latter two crimes. Rolando Cruz and Alejandro Hernandez, both from Aurora, Illinois, had earlier been indicted in the Nicarico case and were convicted of Nicarico's murder in 1983 and sentenced to death. After appeals and new trials, Hernandez was convicted a third time and sentenced to life in prison. Ludwig Ferdinand Schnorr von Carolsfeld (11 October 1788 – 13 April 1853) was a German Romanticism, Romantic painter, engraver and lithographer. Schnorr von Carolsfeld was born in Königsberg, the son and pupil of the artist Veit Hanns Schnorr von Carolsfeld. His younger brother was Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld and his nephew was the opera singer Ludwig Schnorr von Carolsfeld. At the age of 16 he moved to Vienna, where he lived for the rest of his life. In 1804 he was registered as a student in the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna, Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Heinrich Friedrich Füger, who had become acquainted with his father in 1801. Veit Hanns Friedrich Schnorr von Carolsfeld (11 May 1764 – 30 April 1841) was a Germans, German portraitist. Life Schnorr was born in Schneeberg, Saxony, Schneeberg, to Councillor and excise inspector in Schneeberg Johann Gottlob Schnorr von Carolsfeld (1713–1788) and his wife Charlotte Sophia Schnorr von Carolsfeld, nee Laurentius (1720–1798), he was he was the eighth of 16 children. His paternal great-grandfather was iron and cobalt magnate Veit Hans Schnorr von Carolsfeld (1644–1715). He was a friend of the poet Johann Gottfried Seume, whom he set out to accompany in 1801 on a journey to Syracuse, Sicily, but separated from him after travelling no further than Vienna. In 1803 he returned to Leipzig and became an assistant teacher at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig, Leipzig Academy of Art. Eugénia Malvina Garrigues (later Malvina Schnorr von Carolsfeld; 7 December 18258 February 1904), was a Danish-born Portuguese operatic dramatic soprano. Early life and education Eugénia Malvina Garrigues was born a Portuguese citizen in Copenhagen, Denmark, the daughter of the Portuguese consul there, João António Henriques Garrigues (Jean Antoine Henri Garrigues), and his German wife of French descent, Nanette Palmier. Portugal's Queen Maria II assigned her father as consul to Denmark by decree of 17 November 1825. She was great-grandniece of David Garrick.
