''Playbill'', January 29, 2025 of the musical television series ''Schmigadoon!'', with book, music, and lyrics by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, Cinco Paul. The musical includes songs from the TV series and original songs written for the stage. The plot follows two New York City doctors, Melissa Gimble and Josh Skinner, struggling with their romantic relationship, who find themselves trapped in a magical town similar to the setting of a Golden Age musical, populated by colorful people who frequently break into song. Cinco Paul And Ken Daurio
Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio are American screenwriters, collaborating on the screenplays for animated films including the '' Despicable Me'' franchise, '' Horton Hears a Who'', '' The Lorax'' and ''The Secret Life of Pets''. The duo also served as the co-creators of the 2021 Apple TV+ musical comedy series '' Schmigadoon!'', with Paul also serving as the series songwriter and executive producer. Doug Besterman
Douglas Besterman (born February 3, 1965) is an American orchestrator, musical arranger and music producer. He is the recipient of three Tony Awards out of six total nominations and two Drama Desk Awards out of six total nominations, and was a 2009 Grammy Award nominee.
