Schatzi is an American band from Oklahoma, based in Austin, Texas, formed in 1996Andy Langer"Spotlights: Schatzi" ''The Austin Chronicle'', March 15, 2002. by Montez Williams, Christian Kyle, Jason Westbrook and Jason Altman. Biography Montez Williams, Christian Kyle, and Jason Westbrook met each other in Oklahoma, and played together in Brave New World. They moved on to start their own band, Blunderwheel that recorded one album, ''Roly Poly'', and promptly moved to Austin, TX. The album was released in 1993 in Austin by Humongous Fungus Records. The band added drummer Jayson Altman and eventually changed the name to Schatzi in 1996. This lineup recorded their first album, ''Joanie Loves Schatzi'', also released by Humongous Fungus in 1998. Only 1000 copies of the album were made. Mammoth Records was an independent record label founded in 1989 by Jay Faires in the Carrboro area of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. CMJ Holdings Corp. is a music events and online media company, originally founded in 1978, which ran a website, hosted an annual festival in New York City, and published two magazines, ''CMJ New Music Monthly'' and ''CMJ New Music Report''. The Get Up Kids are an American rock band from Olathe, Kansas. Formed in 1995, the band was a major player in the mid-1990s Midwest emo scene, otherwise known as the " second wave" of emo music. Michael Riley Mogis (born May 16, 1974) is an American producer/engineer and multi-instrumentalist who, along with his brother A.J. Mogis, founded Presto! Recording Studios (previously known as Dead Space Recording and, earlier, Whoopass Recording). Mogis currently runs ARC (Another Recording Company) in downtown Omaha. Mike has engineered, produced, and performed in many of the releases on the Saddle Creek label, including records by Bright Eyes, The Faint, Rilo Kiley, Cursive, The Good Life, Lullaby for the Working Class, Jenny Lewis, Tilly and the Wall and Elizabeth & The Catapult. Motion City Soundtrack is an American rock band that formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1997. The band's line-up consists of vocalist and guitarist Justin Courtney Pierre, lead guitarist Joshua Cain, keyboardist Jesse Johnson, bassist Matthew Taylor, and drummer Tony Thaxton. Over the course of their career, the group has toured heavily and released six studio albums, the majority on independent label Epitaph Records. The Posies were an American power pop group. The band was formed in 1986 in Bellingham, Washington, United States, by primary songwriters Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow. Their music has its origins in Merseybeat and the Hollies. They are influenced by Hüsker Dü, XTC, Elvis Costello and Squeeze. The band split up in October 2021, following several allegations of sexual misconduct made against bandmember Ken Stringfellow. Superdrag is an American alternative rock band from Knoxville, Tennessee, United States. They are best known for their 1996 single, " Sucked Out", off their album ''Regretfully Yours'', for which a video was played on MTV. The original lineup reunited in 2007, releasing a full-length album in 2009: ''Industry Giants''. The same lineup reunited again in 2021. Foo Fighters are an American Rock music, rock band formed in Seattle in 1994. Foo Fighters was initially formed as a one-man project by former Nirvana (band), Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl.
