Save Our Love
"Save Our Love" is a song by British R&B girl group Eternal. It was released in January 1994 by EMI and 1st Avenue as the second single from the group's debut album, '' Always & Forever'' (1993). The single was written by Anne Preven, Eddie Chacon and Scott Cutler, who also produced it. It entered at number 12 on the UK Singles Chart on 15 January, climbing to its peak of number eight the following week, and remained in the UK top 75 for seven weeks. On the UK Dance Singles Chart, it was even more successful, reaching number six. The accompanying music video was filmed in December 1993. Critical reception Pan-European magazine ''Music & Media'' commented, "They promised to stay with us forever and always, and judged by the quality of this second single, these new jill swingers won't be out of sight and hearing for a long time." Eternal (group)
Eternal were a British R&B girl group formed in 1992, with the line-up consisting of Easther Bennett and her older sister Vernie Bennett, with Kéllé Bryan and her friend and classmate Louise Redknapp, who were also recruited into the group by the label. The group became an international success, selling around 10 million records worldwide. Louise Redknapp left the group before the release of their second album to focus on her solo career with the same label. Kéllé Bryan left the group under undisclosed circumstances in 1998. Sisters Easther Bennett and Vernie Bennett were the only members left when they disbanded in 2000. Eternal made a brief comeback in 2013, with Kéllé Bryan returning to the group, only for the group to disband once again in 2014. ''Always & Forever'' is the debut studio album by British girl group Eternal. It was released through EMI on 29 November 1993 before Louise Nurding left to embark on a solo career prior to the release of the follow up album, '' Power of a Woman'' (1995). The album became a commercial success, spending 63 weeks in the top 40 of the UK Albums Chart, selling over one million copies in the UK alone and yielding six hit singles. As of 1997, the album had sold over four million copies worldwide. Simon Law
Simon Law (born 28 May 1961, in Luton, England) is a producer, keyboardist and songwriter for Soul II Soul. Career Law is an original member of Soul II Soul. The band had a #1 UK hit single with "Back to Life (However Do You Want Me)", where he appeared in one of the song's two music videos, and a Top 10 hit with " Keep On Movin'". The band were awarded two Grammys for the songs "Back to Life" and the instrumental "African Dance", both of which Law co-wrote. He worked on all subsequent Soul II Soul albums apart from ''Volume III Just Right'', producing and co-writing many of the band's other UK hit singles, including "Missing You", "Love Enuff" and "Represent". ''Record Mirror'' was a British weekly music newspaper between 1954 and 1991 for pop fans and record collectors. Launched two years after the '' NME'', it never attained the circulation of its rival. The first UK album chart was published in ''Record Mirror'' in 1956, and during the 1980s it was the only consumer music paper to carry the official UK singles and UK albums charts used by the BBC for Radio 1 and ''Top of the Pops'', as well as the US '' Billboard'' charts. The Three Degrees is an American female vocal group formed circa 1963 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Although 16 women have been members over the years, the group has always been a trio. The current line-up consists of Helen Scott, Valerie Holiday, and Freddi Poole. The group were particularly successful in the UK, achieving 13 Top 50 hit singles between 1974 and 1985. The original members were Fayette Pinkney, Shirley Porter and Linda Turner. Porter and Turner were soon replaced by Janet Harmon and Helen Scott. Honey Cone
Honey Cone was an American R&B and soul girl group formed by lead singer Edna Wright (sister of Darlene Love) with Carolyn Willis and Shelly Clark in 1968. They are best remembered for their number-one ''Billboard'' Hot 100 single, " Want Ads". Honey Cone were the premier female group for Hot Wax Records, operated by Holland–Dozier–Holland after they had departed from Motown Records.
