Savage is a derogatory term to describe a person or people the speaker regards as primitive and uncivilized. It has predominantly been used to refer to indigenous people, indigenous, tribal, and nomadic peoples. Sometimes a legal, military, and ethnic term, it has shifted in meaning since its first usages in the 16th century. Since 1776, American politicians have used the term ''savage'' to refer to uncivilized peoples as well as those affiliated with Nazism, Communism, and terrorism. Savage (band)
Savage are a British heavy metal band from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, that formed in 1978. They were part of the new wave of British heavy metal. The band is most remembered for the song titled "Let it Loose", a track which made significant impact on the early 1980s metal scene (indeed, it was later covered by Metallica on their Whiskey Audition Tape demo), and would later give rise to the name of their first album, ''Loose 'n Lethal'', released in 1983. History The group was formed in 1976 by 16-year-old bass player Chris Bradley, vocalist Chris Gent, guitarist Lee Statham and drummer Mick Percival, but after only one official gig the band disbanded and was re-formed in 1978 by Bradley, joined by Andy Bradbury on guitar, Simon Dawson on drums and his 15-year-old brother Andy Dawson on guitar. Bahari is an American alt pop, electronic and dark pop musical duo, previously a trio, composed of Ruby Carr and Natalia Panzarella. Sidney Sartini left the band in 2018. History Formation, signing with Interscope and ''Dancing on the Sun'' (2014–2017) The group consists of vocalist and keyboardist Ruby Carr, who is from South Africa but was raised in Kenya; vocalist and bassist Natalia Panzarella, from Nashville, Tennessee but raised in Los Angeles. They met at a production team in Rock Mafia's studio while working in each member's individual projects. The girls met and started making music together and formed the group, then called Bahari. "Savage" is a song recorded by South Korean girl group Aespa for their first extended play (EP) of the same name. It was released as the lead single on October 5, 2021, by SM Entertainment. Described as a "hyperpop-tinged title track", the song was written by Yoo Young-jin, who also composed along with Kirsten Collins, Jia Lih, and Hautboi Rich, and eventually handled the arrangement alongside Lih.
