Sava Čojčić
Sava Čojčić ( sr-Cyrl, Сава Чојчић; born 15 January 1968) is a Serbian politician. He served in the National Assembly of Serbia from 2008 to 2011 and was the mayor Pećinci from 2012 to 2013. Čojčić has at different times been a member of G17 Plus, the United Regions of Serbia (URS), and the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). Early life and private career Čojčić was born in the Belgrade municipality of Zemun, in what was then the Socialist Republic of Serbia in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. He is a graduated economist. Politician Deputy president of the Pećinci assembly (2004–12) Čojčić led G17 Plus's electoral list for Pećinci in the 2004 Serbian local elections and was elected when the list won a single seat. Electoral Threshold
The electoral threshold, or election threshold, is the minimum share of the primary vote that a candidate or political party requires to achieve before they become entitled to representation or additional seats in a legislature. United Serbia ( sr, Јединствена Србија, Jedinstvena Srbija, JS) is a national-conservative political party in Serbia. History It was founded on 15 February 2004, as a split from the far-right Party of Serbian Unity with Dragan Marković Palma elected as the leader on the first party assembly. During its early years, the party had close relations with other right-wing parties such as New Serbia and Democratic Party of Serbia, even participating with them in the 2007 parliamentary election. 2012 Serbian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Serbia on 6 May 2012 to elect members of the National Assembly, and were held simultaneously with provincial, local, and presidential elections. Background The 2008 parliamentary elections resulted in the formation of a new pro-European government on 7 July 2008, with the necessary parliamentary votes coming from President Boris Tadić's For a European Serbia list, and the coalition of the Socialist Party of Serbia, the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia and United Serbia (the SPS-PUPS-JS coalition), plus six out of the seven minorities representatives.
