Sauti Sol
Sauti Sol is a Kenyan afropop band formed in Nairobi in 2005 by vocalists Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano, and Savara Mudigi. Initially an a cappella group, guitarist Polycarp Otieno joined before they named themselves Sauti Sol. Sauti Sol released their debut studio album '' Mwanzo'' on 1 November 2008, to critical acclaim. Their second studio album, '' Sol Filosofia'', was released on 25 February 2011, earning the group a number of accolades and nominations in the process. On 18 June 2012, the band released a self-titled extended play in collaboration with South African rapper and record producer Spoek Mathambo. Nairobi is the Capital city, capital and largest city of Kenya. The city lies in the south-central part of Kenya, at an elevation of . Strathmore School
Strathmore School is Kenya's first multi-racial school, established in 1961 in the Lavington area of Nairobi. It began as a residential Sixth Form College offering British-styled A-level courses and in 1963 switched from the Cambridge School Certificate Examination to the London GCE. In 1977 it became a full-fledged Secondary school. In 1988, the school began offering education under the KCSE - Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education - curricula which it follows to date. The first batch of primary school students (6-7 year olds) entered in 1987. It no longer has any boarders. School uniform The school uniform consists of a cream/beige shirt, mid-grey trousers, grey socks and black shoes. The tie has black, white and blue stripes. The name Hembrug refers to various geographic entities in the municipality of Zaanstad, in the Netherlands. Area The area called ''Hembrug'' was formerly a ''hem'', that is, a headland later diked in to become part of a polder. ''Sol Filosofia'' is the second studio album by Kenyan afro-pop band Sauti Sol. It was released on February 25, 2011 by Penya Records, and launched at the Alliance française in Nairobi. The album's two singles "Soma Kijana" and "Coming Home" also had music videos released, with the latter featuring notable visual elements and performances. Singles * "Soma Kijana" was released as the album's lead single. It urges all youth to take education seriously and read. The song's genre was inspired by one of Sauti Sol's biggest inspirations, the late Daudi Kabaka. * "Coming Home" was released as the album's second single. A music video for the song was released on 13 April 2011, and featured singer and reality star Patricia Kihoro.
