Saturday Night Gossip
is a vinyl exclusive extended play by Japanese musician Ringo Sheena. It was released two months after her fourth studio album '' Sanmon Gossip'', and features a collection of songs relating to that album. Background and development Sheena's first three studio albums were released to vinyl. The first was ''Kalk Samen Kuri no Hana'' in 2003, three months after its initial studio release. ''Muzai Moratorium'' and '' Shōso Strip'' were released on vinyl in 2008, as a part of her 10-year anniversary celebrations. Instead of a full-length vinyl edition of '' Sanmon Gossip'' being released, ''Saturday Night Gossip'' was created. Similar extended plays were released for her band Tokyo Incidents' albums ''Adult'' (2006), called ''"ADULT VIDEO" Original Sound Track'', and ''Variety'' (2007), called ''Variety Zōkangō''. , known by her stage name , is a Japanese singer, songwriter and musician. She is also the founder and lead vocalist of the band Tokyo Jihen. She describes herself as "". She was ranked number 36 in a list of Japan's top 100 musicians compiled by HMV in 2003. Career Initial solo career Sheena released her first official single " Kōfukuron" in May 1998, when she was 19 years old. She subsequently made singles " Kabukichō no Joō" and " Koko de Kiss Shite", the latter becoming her first hit. , also known as Tokyo Incidents, is a Japanese rock band formed by Ringo Sheena, after leaving her solo career. The band's debut single " Gunjō Biyori" was released in September 2004, and they ended activities in February 2012. The band sold 2.3 million albums, singles, and DVDs. The band reunited and released a new single on January 1, 2020. History Origins (2003) Tokyo Jihen started as Ringo Sheena's backing band at first for her last concert tour before ending the first half of her solo career. Sheena was contemplating working with a band while working on her last solo album, ''Kalk Samen'' ''Kuri no Hana''. She began looking for members of her backing band to support her solo tour "Sugoroku Ecstasy" in the Autumn of 2003. Soil & "Pimp" Sessions (stylised as SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS) is a Japanese club jazz sextet who formed in Tokyo, Japan, in 2001. They are known for their energetic live performances, having coined the term "death jazz" to describe their music. History The band was born out of Tokyo's club scene, when Shacho and Tabu Zombie started including live jam sessions in DJ sets. Gradually the other members were invited, the band's line-up was finalised and the DJ sets dropped. The Gibson SG is a solid-body electric guitar model introduced by Gibson in 1961, following on from the 1952 Gibson Les Paul. It remains in production today in many variations of the initial design.
