Satish Kumar Singh is a Nepalese politician who is serving as the 3rd and current Chief Minister of Madhesh Province since 7 June 2024.He is very first Chief Minister from the Janamat Party after the creation of Madhesh Provincial Assembly in 2017. He is also the Member of Legislative Assembly from Saptari 2(A) constituency since 2023. Singh has served formerly as the Chairman of Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality from 2017 to 2022 when he lost to Arun Kumar Mandal of Nepali Congress in 2022 Nepalese local elections. 2022 Nepalese Local Elections
The 2022 Nepalese local elections were held on 13 May, 2022 in 6 metropolitan cities, 11 sub-metropolitan cities, 276 municipalities and 460 rural municipalities. These were the second set of local-level elections to be held since the promulgation of the new constitution in 2015.
