Sarra Elgan
Sarra Elgan Easterby (born 1979) is a Welsh journalist and television presenter. She has covered rugby union for numerous media outlets. Early life Born in Neath, she is the daughter of Kathryn Rees and former Neath RFC, Wales and British Lions rugby union player, Elgan Rees. Career Elgan studied theatre, media and music at Trinity College, Carmarthen; soon afterwards she took a role in Welsh soap opera ''Pobol y Cwm''. Her first presenting job was on S4C children's show ''Planed Plant'', before presenting for CBBC. She also sang in a Welsh-language pop music group called ''Cic''. She began as a pitchside reporter at rugby union matches for S4C after the death of Ray Gravell in 2007. Elgan has worked as a presenter on rugby union coverage on TNT Sports and its predecessor BT Sport. Urdd National Eisteddfod
The Urdd National Eisteddfod ( or ) is an annual Welsh-language youth festival of literature, music and performing arts organised by Urdd Gobaith Cymru. It is the youth counterpart to the National Eisteddfod of Wales. Arguably Europe's largest youth festival, it is usually held during the last week of May, coinciding with schools' half term holiday. Locations alternate between north and south Wales. The Eisteddfod consists of competitive singing, recitation, art, composition, dance and instrumental events for contestants aged between 7 and 24 years. Ray Gravell
Raymond William Robert Gravell (12 September 1951 – 31 October 2007) was a Welsh rugby union Centre (rugby union), centre who played club rugby for Llanelli RFC. At international level, Gravell earned 23 cap (sport), caps for Wales national rugby union team, Wales and was selected for the 1980 British Lions tour to South Africa. In his later career he became a respected broadcaster and occasional actor. Gravell was also a member of the Gorsedd of Bards, an honour bestowed on him for his contribution to the Welsh language. Matthew Dane Cardey (born 7 July 1975) is a former professional rugby union player who played as a full-back. Born in Papakura, New Zealand, he earned one cap for the Wales national team in 2000. Career Cardey began his career in New Zealand with North Harbour, but suffered a broken leg in his first season and sought a move to Wales, where a former opposition coach, Graham Henry, was leading the national team. With Henry's intervention, Cardey secured a move to Newport RFC for the 1998–99 season.
