Sarny urban territorial hromada () is a hromada of Ukraine, located in the country's western Rivne Oblast. Its capital is the city of Sarny. The area of the hromada is , and it has a population of Settlements The hromada consists of one city (Sarny), as well as 35 villages: History On 15 January 2023, the Sarny urban hromada was one of nine hromadas in Rivne Oblast to receive a bus and humanitarian aid from German bus company ''Meso and More''. According to Vitaliy Koval, Governor of Rivne Oblast, the bus was given to local educational institutions for transportation of students and teachers. Rivne Oblast (), also referred to as Rivnenshchyna (), is an administrative divisions of Ukraine, oblast in western Ukraine. Its administrative center is Rivne. The surface area of the region is . Raions were created in a 1922 administrative reform of the Soviet Union, to which Ukraine, as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, belonged. In Ukraine, a hromada () is the main type of municipality and the third level Administrative divisions of Ukraine, local self-government in Ukraine. The current hromadas were established by the Cabinet of ministers of Ukraine, Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. Sarny (, ) is a small city in Rivne Oblast, western Ukraine. It is the administrative center of Sarny Raion within the oblast and is a major railway node on the Sluch River. Population: Etymology The city is named after the roe deer and can be literally translated as "deer" (plural); the name was adopted due to the abundance of them in the forests in the area.
