Sarlacc
The Sarlacc (plural Sarlacci) is a fictional creature in George Lucas's science fiction action film, sci-fi action saga ''Star Wars''. It first appeared in the film ''Return of the Jedi'' (1983) as a multi-tentacled fictional extraterrestrials, alien beast whose immense, gaping maw is lined with several rows of sharp teeth, inhabiting the Great Pit of Carkoon, a hollow in the sand of the desert planet Tatooine. After the bounty hunter Boba Fett escapes from its maw in "The Book of Boba Fett#ep1, Chapter 1: Stranger in a Strange Land" of ''The Book of Boba Fett'' (2022) and eventually returns to retrieve his armor, the Sarlacc is killed by his partner Fennec Shand in "Chapter 4: The Gathering Storm". In the Star Wars#Original trilogy, original ''Return of the Jedi'', the Sarlacc is depicted as a barbed gaping mouth in the desert sand with tentacles. Tatooine ( ) is a fictional desert planet that appears in the ''Star Wars'' franchise. It is a beige-colored, desolate world orbiting a pair of binary stars, and inhabited by human settlers and a variety of other life forms. The planet was first seen in the original 1977 film ''Star Wars'', and has to date featured in a total of seven ''Star Wars'' theatrical films, three live-action television series, and four animated series. It is the home planet of the protagonist of the original Star Wars Trilogy, Luke Skywalker, and of his father, Anakin Skywalker (who later became Darth Vader). Jabba Desilijic Tiure, better known as Jabba the Hutt ( ) is a fictional character in the ''Star Wars'' franchise. Initially performed by Declan Mulholland as a human in the original ''Star Wars'' film, Jabba first appeared properly in the 1983 film '' Return of the Jedi'' as a large, crime lord of the Hutt species. In the film, Jabba was voiced by Larry Ward and depicted by a one-ton puppet operated by several puppeteers. In 1997, Jabba's deleted scene was restored in the original ''Star Wars'' film's Special Edition - retitled ''A New Hope'' - where Mulholland was replaced with computer-generated imagery.
