Gagik Sargsyan
Gagik Sargsyan (; 6 April 1926, in Yerevan – 25 August 1998, in Yerevan) was an Armenian historian, who was the vice president of the Armenian Academy of Sciences. Biography Sarkisyan studied at Yerevan State University, then finished Leningrad State University in 1950. From 1954 to 1962, he worked at the Institute of History of the Armenian Academy of Sciences, and was deputy director of the Institute of History of the Armenian Academy of Sciences (1962-1966). He was the director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Armenian Academy of Sciences and a professor at Yerevan State University. He was academic-secretary of the humanitarian branch of the Armenian Academy of Sciences. Vahram Sargsyan () is an Armenian Canadian composer, choral conductor and experimental vocalist currently living in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Biography Vahram Sargsyan studied composition with Ashot Zohrabyan at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory from 1998 to 2003, where he also studied choral conducting with Tigran Hekekyan from 2000 to 2006. He also studied composition at the Schulich School of Music, McGill University with composer Philippe Leroux. Sargsyan's music has been performed in Armenia, UK, Germany, Austria, Belarus, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia, Belgium, Russia, Greece, Poland, Italy, Japan, Canada, as well as in the United States. Tigran Sureni Sargsyan (; born 29 January 1960) is an Armenian political figure who was Prime Minister of Armenia from 2008 to 2014. Previously he was Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia from 1998 to 2008. Srbuhi Sargsyan ( ; born 3 April 1994), professionally known as Srbuk (), is an Armenian singer. She first came to prominence after competing in season one of the Armenian version of ''The X Factor'', where she placed as the runner-up. In 2018, she competed in season eight of ''The Voice of Ukraine'', placing fourth. Srbuk represented Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel, with the song "Walking Out". Sos Sargsyan
Sos Artashesi Sargsyan (; 24 October 1929 – 26 September 2013) was a prominent Armenian actor, director and writer. Biography Sos Sargsyan was born in Stepanavan in northern Armenia, at the time part of the Soviet Union. He moved to Yerevan in 1948 and started to perform at the Theater of the Young Spectator. He graduated from the Fine Arts and Theater Institute in 1954 as an actor. Between 1954 and 1991 he performed at the Sundukyan State Academic Theatre of Yerevan. In October 1991, a month after Armenia's independence from the Soviet Union, Sargsyan took part in the first presidential election in independent Armenia. He was nominated by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation. In 1991 he established the Hamazgayin (Pan-National) Theater, which he headed until his death.
