António Sardinha
António Sardinha (9 September 1887 in Monforte, Portalegre – 10 January 1925 in Elvas) was a Portuguese writer and the main intellectual behind the ''Integralismo Lusitano'' movement. He espoused a strongly conservative world view. Early politics Sardinha graduated in law from the University of Coimbra in 1911. Career Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Sardinha was drafted directly out of Kamehameha High School in the 1st round of the 2001 Major League Baseball Draft. Sardinha had a mixed minor league career in the New York Yankees organization, playing in a variety of infield and outfield spots. Sardinha (born April 8, 1979) is an American former Major League Baseball catcher who played for the Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, and Philadelphia Phillies between 2003 and 2011. Francisco Cosme Sardinha (born 15 April 1946) is an Indian politician, who is serving as the Member of Parliament (MP), representing South Goa Lok Sabha constituency. Prior to that, he served as the Chief Minister of Goa from 24 November 1999 to 23 October 2000 and as the Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly from February 2005 to June 2007. Pero Fernandes Sardinha
Dom Pedro Fernandes Sardinha, or Pero Sardinha (1496 – 1556), was a Portuguese priest, first bishop of Brazil. Biography Sardinha was born in Évora. He studied at the University of Paris circa 1525. He was appointed chaplain of the St. Sebastian Church in Madeira Island in 1529, then moving to Lisbon and Porto. In 1545 he was named dean of the Cathedral of Goa in India. After the death of the governor-general João de Castro, Sardinha returned to Portugal, studying Canon Law in Coimbra. In 1551, Pope Innocent XI established the Diocese of Brazil, under the Papal bull ''Super specula militantis ecclesiae''. Sardinha was elected to act as its first bishop.
