Saraya Ansar Al-Aqeeda
Saraya Ansar al-Aqeeda () is an Iraqi Shia Islamist militia. History Saraya Ansar al-Aqeeda was formed in June 2014 by Jalal al-Din Ali al-Saghir and Iraqi Shiite militiamen who left to fight in Syria in 2012, before returning to Iraq during the Islamic State offensives in 2014. In 2016, Saraya Ansar al-Aqeeda started military campaigns in Fallujah against the Islamic State as revenge for the Islamic State killing some of Saraya Ansar al-Aqeeda's soldiers. Popular Mobilization Forces
The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF; ), also known as the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), is an Iranian-backed paramilitary umbrella group that operates within Iraq. Although formally and legally part of the Iraqi Armed Forces and reporting directly to the prime minister, PMF leaders act independently from state control and, in reality, answer to the supreme leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei. The PMF is composed of about 67 primarily Shia armed factions, almost all of which are Iranian-backed and openly pledge allegiance to Khamenei. Chief of Staff of the PMF, Abu Fadak al-Mohammadawi, openly declared that the PMF takes orders from Khamenei. Kata'ib Hezbollah (), also known as the Hezbollah Brigades, is an Iraqi Shia paramilitary group which is a part of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), staffing the 45th, 46th, and 47th Brigades. During the Iraq War (2003–11), the group fought against Coalition forces. It has been active in the War in Iraq (2013–2017) and the Syrian Civil War.
