Saravah Soul
Saravah is a French jazz record label founded by singer-songwriter Pierre Barouh in 1965. Saravah released the album ''50 Years'' to celebrate its anniversary in the music business. The album included Albin de la Simone, Bastien Lallemant, Bertrand Belin, Camélia Jordana, François Morel, Jeanne Cherhal, Kahimi Karie, Maïa Barouh, Nana Vasconcelos, Olivia Ruiz, Ringo Sheena, Séverin, and Yolande Moreau. Claudine Luypaerts, better known as Maurane (; 12 November 1960 – 7 May 2018), was a Francophone Belgian singer and actress. Jacques Higelin
Jacques Joseph Victor Higelin (; 18 October 1940 – 6 April 2018) was a French pop singer who rose to prominence in the early 1970s. Early life Higelin was born on 18 October 1940. His father, Paul, a railway worker and musician of Alsatian descent, introduced his two sons to various forms of music, while his mother, Renée, of Belgian descent, raised them both. Career Higelin's entertainment career began at age 14, when he left school to work as a stunt double. Biography Wilen was born in Nice, France; his father was an American dentist turned inventor, and his mother was French. His father's American citizenship allowed the family to take refuge in the United States during World War II, where Wilen started learning the saxophone. After the family's return to France, he began performing in clubs in Nice after being encouraged by Blaise Cendrars, who was a friend of his mother. The Art Ensemble of Chicago is an avant-garde jazz group that grew out of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians, AACM) in the late 1960s. The ensemble integrates many jazz styles and plays many instruments, including "little instruments": bells, bicycle horns, birthday party noisemakers, wind chimes, and various forms of percussion.
