Sarah Kiyingi Musoke
Sarah Kiyingi Musoke (born April 16, 1960) is a Ugandan politician, a former State Minister of Internal Affairs and a former Woman Representative Member of parliament representative for Rakai District since the Sixth Parliament of Uganda between 1996 and 2016. Early life and education Musoke was born to David Livingstone from Rakai District. She went to Bwanda Primary School before joining Kalagala Primary School. She after joined St Catherine Girls School (currently Dr. Obote College), Kyebambe Girls and then Makerere University where she attained a bachelor's degree in sociology and religious studies. She then joined University of Nairobi for her master's degree in religious studies. Career Yoweri Museveni appointed Musoke minister of state for internal affairs in 1999. Miria Matembe
Miria Rukoza Koburunga Matembe (born 26 August 1953) is a Ugandan lawyer, politician, gender equality advocate and a senior citizen. In June 2006, she became a Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellow with the National Endowment for Democracy. Early life Matembe was born on 28 August 1953 in Bwizibwera, Kashaari, Mbarara to Samwiri Rukoza and Eseza Kajwengye. She is the fourth-born of nine children (five boys and four girls). Education Matembe attended Rutooma Primary School, after which she proceeded to Bweranyangi Girls’ Senior Secondary School for her O-Level studies. She continued to Namasagali College for her A-Level studies. Eriya Kategaya
Eriya Kategaya (4 July 1945 – 2 March 2013) was a Ugandan lawyer and politician. At the time of his death he was Uganda's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs. He was also an ''ex officio'' Member of the Ugandan Parliament, on account of being a cabinet minister. Background Kategaya was born on 4 July 1943 in Karagwe Itojo, Ntungamo District, in Western Uganda. He was a longtime associate of President Yoweri Museveni. They had studied together at Mbarara High School and later at Ntare School from 1961 to 1966. Kategaya and Museveni also attended the University of Dar es Salaam at the same time. The National Resistance Movement (; abbr. NRM) has been the ruling party in Uganda since 1986. History The National Resistance Movement (NRM) was founded as a liberation movement that waged a guerrilla war through its rebel wing National Resistance Army (NRA) that toppled the government in 1986. According to the National Resistance Movement, it restored political stability, security, law and order, constitutionalism and the rule of law to Uganda.
