Sarah Jeffrey
Sarah Jeffrey is a Canadian oboist and teacher. Jeffrey is Principal Oboe with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and has performed as a chamber musician with Trio Arkel and Amici Chamber Ensemble. She is a faculty member at the University of Toronto, and The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music. Sarah Jeffrey has recorded the Vaughan Williams Oboe Concerto with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra for Chandos Records in 2017. The recording was nominated for two Grammy Awards, Best Classical Compendium and Best Producer, with the latter nomination winning the Grammy Awards, Grammy Award. Toronto Symphony Orchestra
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) is a Canadian orchestra based in Toronto, Ontario. Founded in 1906, the TSO gave regular concerts at Massey Hall until 1982, and since then has performed at Roy Thomson Hall. The TSO also manages the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra (TSYO). The TSO's most recent music director was Peter Oundjian, from 2004 to 2018. Sir Andrew Davis, conductor laureate of the TSO, has most recently served as the orchestra's interim artistic director. Gustavo Gimeno is music director of the TSO, since the 2020–2021 season. The Glenn Gould School
The Glenn Gould School is a centre for the training of professional musicians in performance at post-secondary and post-bachelor levels in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The school was founded in 1987 and renamed in 1997 after the celebrated pianist, Glenn Gould, who was born and lived in Toronto and was an alumnus of The Royal Conservatory of Music. It is considered one of the top music conservatories in North America, and the world. The school is located in the facilities of The Royal Conservatory of Music and is in the Yorkville neighbourhood of Downtown Toronto. The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), branded as The Royal Conservatory, is a non-profit music education institution and performance venue headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Chandos Records is a British independent classical music recording company based in Colchester. It was founded in 1979 by Brian Couzens.
