Sarah Burgess (racing Driver)
Sarah Burgess (born 4 October 1980) is an Australian professional racing driver and crew chief. She has experience in multiple disciplines such as drifting, rallycross, short course off-road racing, and stock car racing. Racing career Early career and drifting Burgess' interest in motorsports stemmed from watching Formula One races with her English-born father. She and husband Adam ran an automotive and machining business and fielded drag racing cars in Australia before moving to the United States in 2008; her interest in the auto industry started eight years prior when she visited the country for business and attended the NHRA Winternationals. The Burgess family started BMI Racing to manufacture parts for clients in addition to competing in drifting. In 2011, Burgess ran two rounds of the Xtreme Drift Circuit in BMI's Mazda RX-8. Emma Gilmour (born 30 September 1979) is a rally driver from New Zealand currently competing in Extreme E with McLaren XE. Early and personal life Gilmour was born in Dunedin in 1979. Her father and maternal grandfather were both mechanics. Before taking up motor racing in her early 20s she was an equestrian representing Otago–Southland in eventing and participating in the New Zealand development squads. The X Games are an annual extreme sports event organized, produced and broadcast by ESPN. Coverage is also shown on ESPN's sister network, ABC. In motorsport, a privateer is usually an entrant into a racing event that is not directly supported by an automobile or motorcycle manufacturer. Privateers teams are often found competing in rally, circuit racing and motorcycle racing events and often include competitors who build and maintain their own vehicles and motorcycles. In previous Formula One seasons, privately owned teams would race using the chassis of another team or constructor in preference to building their own car; the Concorde Agreement now prohibits this practice. Tyrian purple ( grc, πορφύρα ''porphúra''; la, purpura), also known as Phoenician red, Phoenician purple, royal purple, imperial purple, or imperial dye, is a reddish-purple natural dye. The Chevrolet Aveo ( ) is a subcompact car ( B-segment) marketed by General Motors since 2002. Originally marketed as the Daewoo Kalos, takeover of Daewoo Motors by General Motors (GM) also saw the car being marketed under seven brands (Chevrolet, Daewoo, ZAZ, Holden, Pontiac, Ravon and Suzuki) in 120 countries, with the Aveo nameplate being the most commonly used one.
