The Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia () is the Ministry (government department), ministry in the Government of Serbia which is in the charge of the environmental protection. Đuro Macut
Đuro Macut (; born 22 November 1963) is a Serbian endocrinologist and academic, serving as the prime minister of Serbia since 2025. Born in Belgrade, Macut graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 1989, later obtaining a doctorate from the institution. He first worked as an endocrinologist and researcher, and later became a professor of internal medicine and endocrinology at the Faculty of Medicine in 2013. Although not a member of any political party, Macut became one of the founding members of the President Aleksandar Vučić-led People's Movement for the State in 2025. Irena Vujović (; born 3 April 1983) is a Serbian politician who served as the minister of environmental protection from 2020 to 2025. A member of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), she previously served as president of the Savski Venac Municipality from 2016 to 2020. Early life and education She was born in 1983 in Belgrade. Her great-grandfather was Nikola Kovačević, a high ranking Montenegrin member of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia and the brother of Sava Kovačević, a commander of the Yugoslav Partisans. She has bachelor's and master's degrees in economics from the Faculty of International Economics at the Megatrend University and is currently attending doctoral studies at the same university.
