Sara Misir
Sara Misir (born January 29, 1998) is a Jamaican race car driver. She competes as part of the Formula Woman Team for McLaren Customer Racing in the British GT Cup Championship. Early life Misir was born at Nuttall Hospital in St. Andrew, Jamaica. She first represented Jamaica as a junior equestrian. In preparation for the Pan American Games at 16 years old, Misir suffered an accident where she fell from her horse and her skull and jaw were fractured. She needed a 6-month recovery to return to equestrian sport. She then switched to motor racing at the age of 18 years old. Misir has achieved podium finishes in both Jamaica & the US. Racing career Misir made her international motorsport career debut on June 8, 2022, competing in the GT Cup Championship at the Snetterton Circuit in the UK. Saint Catherine (capital Spanish Town) is a parish in the south east of Jamaica. GT Cup Championship
The GT Cup Championship is a sports car racing series based in the United Kingdom. It was founded by Marc Haynes in 2007. The championship supported the short-lived British LMP3 Cup in 2017, following the series to Spa-Francorchamps where it participated alongside the field of prototypes. It will support the 2021 GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup at Brands Hatch on 1–2 May. 2022 GT Cup Championship
The 2022 GT Cup Championship was the 16th GT Cup Championship, a British sports car championship. The season began on 9 April at Donington Park and ended on 9 October at Snetterton Circuit, after twenty-six races held over seven meetings. Snetterton Circuit
Snetterton Circuit is a motor racing course in Norfolk, England, originally opened in 1953. Owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, it is situated on the A11 road north-east of the town of Thetford and south-west of the city of Norwich. Oulton Park
Oulton Park is a hard surfaced track used for motor racing, close to the village of Little Budworth, Cheshire, England. It is about from Winsford, from Chester city centre, from Northwich and from Warrington, with a nearby rail connection along the Mid-Cheshire Line. It occupies much of the area which was previously known as the Oulton Estate. The racing circuit is owned and operated by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation.
