Saosin
Saosin ( or ) is an American rock band formed in 2003 in Orange County, California. The group originally consisted of Beau Burchell, Justin Shekoski, Zach Kennedy and Anthony Green. They released their debut EP, '' Translating the Name'', in 2003. The following year, Green departed from the band and Cove Reber joined as vocalist. The band released their self-titled debut album in 2006 under Capitol Records. Their second studio album, '' In Search of Solid Ground'' (2009), released under Virgin Records, featured re-recorded tracks from their previous EP, ''The Grey EP''. Reber left the band in 2010, prompting a hiatus. Saosin reunited in 2013 with all original members except Kennedy, and began touring again. The Best Of Taste Of Chaos
Taste of Chaos (or "TOC") was a live music tour that was started in the winter of 2005 by Kevin Lyman, the creator of the successful Warped Tour along with his friend and business partner, John Reese. The Taste of Chaos tour catered to fans of the post-hardcore, emo, pop punk and metalcore genres, while offering the same low ticket price and festival-style format as the Warped Tour. Taste of Chaos has been called the "Winter Warped Tour" since dates ran from October (internationally) through April (in North America) of the next year. The tour was highly successful in 2005 for many of the same reasons as its summer counterpart, including cheap tickets and major bands of the genres. Pinback
Pinback is an American indie rock band from San Diego, California. The band was formed in 1998 by singers, songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Armistead Burwell Smith IV and Rob Crow, who have been its two constant members. They have released five studio albums and several other releases. History and origin The band's moniker is a reference to a character in the 1974 film '' Dark Star'' (played by Dan O'Bannon). Christopher Albert Sims (born October 21, 1942) is an American econometrician and macroeconomist. He is currently the John J.F. Sherrerd '52 University Professor of Economics at Princeton University. Together with Thomas Sargent, he won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 2011. The award cited their "empirical research on cause and effect in the macroeconomy". ''Saosin'' is the debut full-length studio album by American rock band Saosin, released on September 26, 2006 through Capitol Records. It is the band's second release to feature lead vocalist Cove Reber. The album is best known for its lead riffs with delays and natural harmonics as a form of creating melodies. The guitar riffs on the album were listed on ''Alternative Press'''s "Best Guitar Riffs of 2000s Rock." The first single, "Voices" was listed on the "Top 46 Post-hardcore Songs of the 2000s", and the second single, "You're Not Alone" was listed on the "Top 10 Essential Emo Power Ballads" by the ''Alternative Press''. Alternative Airplay (formerly known as Modern Rock Tracks between 1988 and 2009, and Alternative Songs between 2009 and 2020) is a music chart published in the American magazine ''Billboard'' since September 10, 1988. It ranks the 40 most-played songs on alternative and modern rock radio stations. Introduced as Modern Rock Tracks, the chart served as a companion to the Mainstream Rock chart (then called Album Rock Tracks), and its creation was prompted by the explosion of alternative music on American radio in the late 1980s. Translating The Name
''Translating the Name'' is the debut EP by American rock band Saosin, released on June 17, 2003 through Death Do Us Part. The album was released before Anthony Green’s initial departure from the band to form the rock band Circa Survive (Green later returned on Saosin's 2016 album, ''Along the Shadow''). It is also the band's only release to feature bass guitarist Zack Kennedy, as well as the only release to not feature drummer Alex Rodriguez. Guitarist Beau Burchell stated that Rodriguez intended to track the drums for Translating the Name but had a prior commitment with his former band Open Hand before he could join. Pat Magrath was hired as a session musician, and Magrath performed with Saosin briefly before Rodriguez joined. The Heatseekers charts were "Breaking and Entering" music charts issued weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists.
