Vinay Dinu Tendulkar
Vinay Dinu Tendulkar (born 25 September 1961) is an Indian politician who served as the Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from Goa from 2017 to 2023. He is a senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party and has been the President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Goa from 2012 to 2020, for two consecutive terms. Currently, he is a member of the Rubber Board committee and the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. He is a member of the Transport, Tourism and Culture committee, prior to which he made substantial contribution towards forest development and protection in 2002 when he was the Forest Minister of Goa, as a part of Manohar Parrikar's Cabinet, the then Chief Minister of Goa. 2012 Goa Legislative Assembly Election
The Goa legislative assembly election was held on 3 March 2012, to select the 40 members of the Sixth Goa Legislative Assembly, as the term of 5th Goa Legislative Assembly ended in March 2012. The result was announced on 6 March. The Bharatiya Janata Party- Maharashtrawadi Gomantak alliance defeated the incumbent Indian National Congress government in Goa led by Chief Minister Digambar Kamat with 24 seats in the 40-seat assembly. Anil Vasudev Salgaocar (26 December 1940 – 1 January 2016) was an Indian mining businessman and politician who served as a member of the Goa Legislative Assembly, representing the Sanvordem Assembly constituency from 2007 to 2012.
