Santiago Acasiete
Wilmer Santiago Acasiete Ariadela (born 22 November 1977) is a Peruvian retired professional footballer who played as a central defender. He also holds a Spanish passport due to the many years he spent in the country, mainly with Almería, with whom he appeared in four La Liga seasons. Acasiete represented Peru in three Copa América tournaments. Club career Born in Callao, Acasiete started playing professionally with Deportivo Wanka, moving in the following year to Universitario de Deportes. After another sole season he joined Cienciano del Cuzco, helping the former country's capital side to the 2003 South American Cup and the 2004 South American Supercup. For 2004–05, Acasiete signed with UD Almería in the Spanish second division. Ecuador National Football Team
The Ecuador national football team ( es, Selección de fútbol de Ecuador) represents Ecuador in men's international football and is controlled by the Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF). They joined FIFA in 1926 and CONMEBOL a year later. Discarding an invitation to participate in the inaugural FIFA World Cup held in Uruguay, Ecuador did not make their tournament debut until 2002. The 2007 Campeonato Sudamericano Copa América, known simply as the 2007 Copa América or 2007 Copa América Venezuela, was the 42nd edition of the Copa América, the South-American championship for international association football teams. The competition was organized by CONMEBOL, South America's football governing body, and was held between 26 June and 15 July in Venezuela, which hosted the tournament for the first time. The competition was won by Brazil (they were also the defending champions), who beat Argentina 3–0 in the final. Mexico took third place by beating Uruguay 3–1 in the third-place match. The 2004 Copa América was the 41st edition of the Copa América, the South-American championship for international association football teams. The competition was organized by CONMEBOL, South America's football governing body, and was held in Peru, who hosted the tournament for the sixth time, from 6 to 25 July. The tournament was won by Brazil in a shootout over Argentina. This made Brazil hold the World Cup and Copa América titles simultaneously for the second time in history, as happened after 1997 Copa América. There is no qualifying tournament for the final tournament. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. An early illustration of the first international football match between Scotland and England in 1872 shows the Scottish players wearing cowls, and the English wearing a variety of school caps. The 2011–12 Segunda División season (known as the Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 81st since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 26 August 2011 after the Association of Spanish Footballers (AFE) called a strike, the regular league ended on 3 June 2012, while the entire season ended on 16 June 2012 with the promotion play-off finals. The term "last-minute goal" is used in sport, primarily association football, to describe a goal scored very late in a game, usually one that affects the outcome of the game. The definition of a "last-minute goal" commonly used is one scored either in the final or penultimate minute of regulation time or extra time, or during stoppage time or injury time. Last-minute goals are often noteworthy if it allows the scoring team to either take the lead or to equalise.
