Volkswagen Santana
The Volkswagen Santana is a nameplate used by Volkswagen for various Sedan (automobile), sedans and station wagons since 1983. The first generation is based on the second-generation Volkswagen Passat (B2). It was introduced in 1981 while production started in 1983 for China. The use of the "Santana" badge rather than "Passat" echoes the use of different names for the sedan versions of the Volkswagen Polo, Polo (Volkswagen Derby, Derby) and Volkswagen Golf, Golf (Volkswagen Jetta, Jetta). In North America, it was also known as the Volkswagen Quantum. In Mexico, it was named the Volkswagen Corsar, while in Argentina it was sold as the Volkswagen Carat. In Brazil and other South American countries it was known as the Santana, while the Passat Variant B2 wagon was marketed as the Quantum. In Europe, the Santana name was dropped in 1985 (with the exception of Spain, where the Santana nameplate was retained) and the car was sold as a Passat. European test production ended in 1988 while L ...

Santana Martinez
Maria Poveka Montoya Martinez ( – July 20, 1980) was a Pueblo artist who created internationally known pottery. Martinez (born Maria Poveka Montoya), her husband Julian, and other family members, including her son Popovi Da, examined traditional Pueblo pottery styles and techniques to create pieces which reflect the Pueblo people's legacy of fine artwork and crafts. The works of Maria Martinez, and especially her black ware pottery, are in the collections of many museums, including the Smithsonian, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Denver Art Museum, and more. The Penn Museum in Philadelphia holds eight vessels – three plates and five jars – signed either "Marie" or "Marie & Julian". Maria Martinez was from the San Ildefonso Pueblo, a community located 20 miles northwest of Santa Fe, New Mexico. At an early age, she learned pottery skills from her aunt and recalls this "learning by seeing" starting at age eleven, as she watched her aunt, grandmother, and father's ...

Originating from the Sant’Ana Farm, property of the Society of Jesus that was first mentioned in 1560 by Father José de Anchieta, it functioned as the green belt of "São Paulo dos Campos de Piratininga". Santana IV
''Santana IV'' is the twenty-fourth studio album (and the thirty-eighth album overall) by American rock band Santana, released in April 2016. Overview The album reunited most of the surviving members from the early 1970s lineup of the band (including Carlos Santana, Gregg Rolie, Neal Schon, Mike Carabello and Michael Shrieve) and was the first time that the quintet had recorded together since 1971's '' Santana III''. Timbalist José Areas was not invited to participate. Joining these "core" members were later Santana members Karl Perazzo (percussion) and Benny Rietveld (bass), with vocalist Ronald Isley guesting on two cuts. ''Santana IV'' included 16 new tracks written and produced by the band. Origins The origins for the reunion go back several years, when Schon suggested that he and Carlos Santana record together. Santana liked the idea but went on to suggest that they recruit Rolie, Shrieve and Carabello for what would be called ''Santana IV'' (picking up where they ...

''Santana'' is the third studio album by the American rock band Santana, released on September 24, 1971, by Columbia Records. The band's second self-titled album, it is often referred to as ''III'' or ''Santana III'' to distinguish it from the band's 1969 debut album. The album was also known as ''Man with an Outstretched Hand'', after its album cover image. It was the third and last album by the Woodstock-era lineup, until their reunion on ''Santana IV'' in 2016. It was also considered by many to be the band's peak commercially and musically, as subsequent releases aimed towards more experimental jazz fusion and Latin music. The album also marked the addition of 16-year-old guitarist Neal Schon to the group. Release and reception The original album was recorded at Columbia Studios, San Francisco, and released in both stereo and quadraphonic. The album featured two singles that charted in the United States. "Everybody's Everything" peaked at No. 12 in October 1971, while " ...

Santana (1969 Album)
''Santana'' is the debut studio album by American Latin rock band Santana, released on August 22, 1969, by Columbia Records. Over half of the album's length is composed of instrumental music, recorded by what was originally a purely free-form jam band. At the suggestion of manager Bill Graham, the band took to writing more conventional songs for more impact, but managed to retain the essence of improvisation in the music. The album was destined to be a major release, given a boost by the band's performance at the Woodstock Festival earlier that August. The album's first single, " Jingo", was only a modest performer, spending eight weeks on the chart and reaching #56; however, " Evil Ways", the second single taken from the album, was a U.S. Top 10 hit, reaching #9 and spending thirteen weeks on the chart. The album spent more than two years (108 weeks) on the ''Billboard'' Top LPs chart and peaked at #4 in November 1969. It also reached #34 on the UK Albums Chart. It has been mi ...
